THE COURAGE POLL

Postby Garavnoss » Thu Feb 26, 2015 11:18 pm

I am of the opinion that this "POLL" has been compromised by the views of the one who raised it.

In the first instance, the opening invitation suggested that the outcome would be in HIS favour.

The subject matter of the "POLL" has been clouded by events which do not fairly focus on "Courage".

Those who do not agree with the raiser are subjected to scathingly abusive attacks, (they may fear such intimidation).

The raiser has admitted that he even voted in opposition to his own beliefs. (an act of dishonesty which suggests manipulation).

Therefore, due to the above infringements of fair play, I consider the "POLL" of no consequence and invalid.

I would invite members to consider the ground-rules for the presentation of any "POLL", the first of which is "Impartiality"

Proof of the manipulation of the "POLL" in question, whilst raising the prospect that he may have voted several "NO's".

everyone is entitled to their opinion,

Just because a poll starter votes and expresses an opinion too is not sufficient proof that the poll has been manipulated.

the question is very clear and I do not think it is misleading.

Does ISIS deserve credit for courage? {yes} or {no}.

Yes the question was straight forward and the result was not unexpected.

A correctly raised "Poll" (if created by an individual) MUST be one which reflects opinion free from ANY influence or bias from the one who raises it.

If it does not fit that criteria, the result (if 2 directional) cannot be seen to be a fair one if the voters have been either intimidated or coerced in order to secure a pre-determined result.

YOUR "Poll" is compromised by your own actions, you first set out to impress upon the voters that they should consider the actions of IS and the atrocities that have been committed in their name, (this is an obvious ploy to gain advantage), you couple your own views with the subtle assurance that ANY voter that casts a vote NOT in concert with your own, will suffer the vengeance of your filthy and unacceptable personal attacks.

THIS "Poll" should have focused SOLELY on "COURAGE" and nothing else !, you have demonstrated that (as with your debating skills) you are incompetent.

Incidentally, since you suggest that the "Poll" is now closed, I would point out that "Cowards do not fight", they are usually afraid to, only those who possess a certain degree of "Courage" would be prepared to die for a cause which THEY believe in.

Would you not agree on THAT small point ?.

What I find remarkably astonishing is how a seemingly well educated man can express views that almost everyone on this forum finds unaccepatble. Even so he actually thinks that apart from him, GR and the other plonker Lordo, there would be others who consider ISIS as ....brave !!!

He is suffering from some sort of disorder, wish him the best.

No I bloody well do NOT agree. Use your loaf man
A mentally deranged gunman walks into a school and indiscriminately shoots and kills children. Is he brave or is he, like ISIS, fucking lunatic.

You again avoid the issue by linking the actions of IS with the question of "Courage", quite a separate subject actually.

Why don't you start your own poll.

No one respects DAESH as having courage as you insinuate. Put it o the test.
