you can paste it a million times it will make it no more right than the foirst time.
the local value is the local value dear boy. local remedy is exactly what it is.
were you also aware that roc did not let him have the land and bought it at half local price for roc.
so much for using local roc values for the deal.
you see the roc has got sweet on stolen lands so much they are now stealing from the gcs too.

now pay attention.

How many times should I tell you your calculations are fallacious??
"Current value" of GC land in the occupied has absolutely nothing to do with it's real value. Simply because it is stolen land in a non state.
For a GC refugee who is at dire straits e.g. Tymbios who exchanged his land in the occupied with Evkaf land in Larnaca is a matter of choice between ZERO value (no solution) -the value his properties would have after a solution- and the value his lands currently have in the occupied as stolen lands in a non state. His choice doesn't concern anyone. Moreover it cannot be set as a rule for anyone in case of a solution.

You think you can exchange lands after a solution based on todays situation of stolen lands in a non state with the values of well developed lands in an advanced EU state? And on top of it force the GCs to accept this froggy rule?? Dream on, or listen to your song once again.
The values of the lands in the occupied will no longer be their "current value". But rather something between today's current value of genuine TC land in the occupied and GC land in a similar location in the free areas. Notice also that values in the free areas will drop after a solution as a result of abundance.

Now here's some old bad news for you:The Annan Plan that was generally bad on all issues, assumed that exchange of Lands would be for lands in SIMILAR LOCATIONS. This translates to equal FUTURE value of lands NOT current.

A CONCERNING FACTOR THAT MUST BE ADDRESSED FOR THE SAFETY OF CIVILIANS is that every GC that does their army service brings home as a civilian a G20 AUTOMATIC. Every TC that completes their army service comes back home as a civilian. This is a true fact because my GC friends have told me their relatives have all brought their weapons home. I can understand the reason for this at present with the massive turkish army but This concerns me in the future when peace deals are done. This is probably why future deals may have to stick with gurantors unless every GC returns their weapons and these are accounted for. If we are to really move forward and ensure that both communities see each other as partners this issue will have to be dealt with. It's one thing having a hunting gun but another when it's a machine gun. Both cause death but the military one far more and everyone has one in the south unless I am mistaken. As I said I can understand the situation that one must feel the need to defend but any future deals this must be addressed as we can't be having a United island with every GC armed to their teeth and TC s as sitting ducks. It will cause immediate fear and mistrust and all the problems prior to 1974 will start again but no doubt the 2 leaders would have this in hand .

Not everyone, and not immediately after completing the military service, and not when you are more than 45 years old. They allow for a few years after you complete the military service to draft you once again as a reservist. Those who go to Universities save at least 6 years before been called. And then what? They give you a "useless" weapon that for most people is a bela, because you have to hide it disassembled somewhere in the house for the risk of thieves. The bullets are sealed in a box and you are not allowed to open the box..Every time they call you in you have to present the box and if they suspect you opened it you are in big trouble...
In any case de militarisation of Cyprus means all weapons should be removed.

I’m about to turn 50 and have one. I’m due for a discharge soon but I’m volunteering to stay on. :)

Mine’s always fully assembled and ready for action!

I've never had to take the ammo can and never seen anyone else take theirs either.

That's because you are probably in a non important Army branch. A decorative one most likely. You can always disobey the rules but if anyone robs your house and steals it the you will be looking for a hole to hide. Sooner or later you have to present everything, be careful the box is not open or else you know what may happen to you
