I suppose all those Greek and Cy Pilots will have B25s blessing then?

Look at it this way. The Cyprus Problem is in the hands of the negotiators and Cy pilots can only have their say when there is a referendum on the matter.

The RoC Government should have thought through the repercussions before they closed down the National Carrier. Now, it seems all bets are off and I can tell you there are a few considering TA already and have applied.

Of course it would make a difference if private companies (including TA) or any company didn't fly or sail to the occupied areas.

Look at it this way, if private companies didn't fly or sail to the occupied areas as stipulated by international law, Turks and other carpetbaggers could not holiday there and settle the land. Which they should not be doing, but which they do do and make the problem worse.

Your diverting the Cy problem now to the negotiators and it sounds like you condone private airlines circumventing international law and flight regulations so some ex-CY pilots can be employed.

Is this tax free and if not then how much is the tax? Is it paid in Turkish Lira or US$? Is there exchange control in Turkey? What are the working conditions? Where do "foreign" crew usually fly? What's the contract period?Where are "foreigners" based Ankara or Istambul? And lastly how well are the planes maintained and what are the safety standards?

NB. We only had one plane crash in Cyprus, that of Helios who's captain was a crazy east German. I 'd bet next one in the region will be a Turkish Airliner...

Tax rate is 20% (one of the higher ones)
Always paid in your choice of either Euro or USD. Most guys will spend most of their time at outports.
Foreign crew fly a mixture of short haul domestic to International Medium Haul. If your on the wide bodies, then exclusively long haul.
Most are based in Istanbul, some in Ankara. Some are also based in outports such as Athens, Rome, Frankfurt, London, Paris, Amsterday and even Australia and North America.
Aircraft are maintained very well in Turkey and at Lufthansa Germany. It's a top shelf company now on par with QANTAS, Etihad, Emirates, QATAR etc ...that's where they're headed.

Knock it off you hypocrite! :?

It’s all hunky dory when filthy Turkey does everything possible to destroy Syria causing hundreds of thousands of deaths and refugees, including the shameless support of ISIS!

Honestly…

Turkey bombing PKK terrorist and ISIS bases justifies B25s wish for total wipeout (80 million) of innocent Turks. Well boohoo to you Rambo.

You didn't answer about the contract period. If it's only for one year then I am afraid any Cypriot or Greek will be as consumable as he was in Cyprus or Greece.

Contracts are usually for as long as you like.

Usually they are 3 year contracts but there are foreigners there that have been with the airline for 20 years.

They are not so eager to let you go after the line training and check to line. It costs them money.

Non type rated pilots are bonded for 100,000 USD pro rata over 3 years. No bond for type rated pilots unless you opt for another type rating.

If you're an Australian or Yank, you would probably opt for long haul in order to get the elusive USA or Australian outports. Greeks would go for short haul.

let me do a loose translation for Mr who is preying for the deep state to save Turkey.

Iran closed her border with Turkey which will hit Turkish, (mostly land based exports) to eastern markets hard. They will have to take a more costly route through Georgia or an even more costly route through war stricken Syria.

Iran wants to show solidarity with the Kurds and keep them happy while Kurdistan is being establish.

Kurdish republic of Eastern Turkey anyone?
