I think Joseph Goebbels would be proud of his protege Kurepetos for his attempt to put a propagandist brave face on what is in fact a very disappointing result for Golden Shower, oops Golden Yawn, oops Golden Dawn, who I would point out, are simply back in the position they were after the June 2012 Elections. They have (about) the same percentage of the vote and the same number of seats. That is however 3 seats less than after the May 2012 Elections. Hardly a Victory when in the face of the Crises (including the immigration issue) one might have expected a bigger gain, if they were truly a popular party. This election was marked by a poor turn out (56% or so compared to 60% earlier) where many stayed away. Clearly they did not find GD attractive and where, had they voted, it is speculative that they would have voted for GD, but likely for other parties pushing down GD's share of votes and seats.
The major victors, if any, are the Union of Centrists who gained an increase of 1.64 % of the vote and 9 new seats, followed by PASOK-DIMAR who had a 1.12% increase in their share of the vote and 4 more seats.

Considering how GD did not make progress but are in worse position than they were before the June 2012 election one has to wonder what else.... that is the true hope for a better Greece, that other parties did relatively a lot better....

No, because the voters who moved away from big parties did not move to GD.

The point you cannot ignore is that GD are in worse position than they were after the May 2012 Elections, by Three Seats.
