"Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu Says Russia Is Using Warships to Target Islamic State in Syria."
By The Associated Press, MOSCOW

Russian Defence Minister, Sergei Shoigu, found guilty of using labels. It's OK as long as an Orthodox Christian uses them, is it?

Meanwhile, the Iraqi armed forces, backed by air strikes from the U.S.-led coalition, are making a little progress in the endeavour to retake Ramadi from Daesh, and there is no doubt about who the opponent is here, and, yes, I will use labels because Daesh is an abominable gang that is committing unspeakable crimes against humanity and needs to be destroyed, and if those who take me to task for applying labels and then hypocritically go and do the same themselves don’t like it, well so be it.

Iraqi forces retake areas around Ramadi

What is this 'ISIS' then? Perhaps you set an example by following the advice you so liberally hand out to others. You said not far above:

"The multiple labels have been your problem from the onset and that’s why Putin was correct when he ignored labels and grouped them all as terrorists! It’s time you did too…"

For the benefit of the psycho who accused me of switching sides on Syria.

This is what I wrote some years back:

Milti wrote:Turkeys reaction to the Syrian shelling and the killing of 5 civilians was not excessive and understandable given the fact that every sovereign nation has an absolute right to defend its citizens and its territory. I hope that Turkey does not carry out the wishes of the West in this instance. Syria must be left alone to solve its own problems, Russia, in my opinion as well as China are absolutely right in not supporting the revolutionaries infested with Islamic extremists and Jihadis. The West is making a dreadful error in contributing financially to the revolutionaries aided and abated by extremist Islamists who come to Syria from all corners of the world.Stay out of Syria is the best option and the only option that the West should consider.
Back to Turkey and her undeniable right to defend its borders, lets hope that she may also realize the folly of her actions in invading and occupying a large part of a sovereign nation, our Cyprus.. Many nations are critical of Turkey and her hypocrisy in presenting herself as a defender of sovereignty whilst 40 thousand of her troops are occupying the northern parts of Cyprus.
The pseudo state she created and controls is a corrupt unrecognized entity, yet Turkey refuses to recognize the RoC which the entire world does. Its time for Turkey to realize that the 38 year occupation can not go on for ever, it damages her greatly in the eyes of the world, its bad for her economy and its detrimental to her ambitions to become a serious power in the ME.its also time for all Cypriots to embrace their true and only motherland, the island of Cyprus, the other two so called motherlands have brought us nothing but pain and suffering, propaganda and indoctrination. Cypriots stand up and swear alliance to our island, our beautiful sweet sunny Cyprus.

Interesting timing of the following announcement, wouldn’t you say?

Huge oil discovery in Golan Heights - Israeli media
https://www.rt.com/business/317906-oil- ... ts-israel/

The Golan Heights, Syrian territory illegally occupied by Israel. Now I wonder, could this be Russia’s sweetener to Israel so they will not interfere with its latest imperialist aspirations? The plot is getting thicker, anyhow, with certain announcements in the past couple of days suggesting that the Iraqi government, over which Iran holds great sway, will shift away from cooperating with the American-led alliance against Daesh and ask for help from Russia instead. It is clear that Iran has long harboured the ambition to bring a swathe of territory stretching to the Mediterranean under its control by having compliant Shiite/Alawite regimes in place. Russia now appears to be positioning itself as sponsor of these ambitions so that it can realise its own plans for the region. It makes sense for the Israeli’s to be kept sweet, and Russia’s ambitions for the region are not primarily economic, so it may see gifting a large amount of the Syrian people’s valuable natural resources to Israel to be a small price to pay.
