Trump appeals to a certain kind of poorly educated redneck within the ranks of the Republicans, but I refuse to believe that he will gain the support of the majority of Americans. He is handing the presidency to the Democrats. I, for one, am happy about that.

I agree with you .... in part at least. The problem then is who will be the Democrats nominee? From what I understand the Democrats have 'super delegates' who are the ones who really make the decision and, even if Sanders is the peoples choice, these delegates can award the nomination to Clinton, who IMO is the biggest threat to World peace of ALL the candidates on both sides. If this does happen I see a lot of political upset in the US that will lead to extreme violence in the cities and deprived areas. Clinton stands for big money, big business and worst of all big banks ..... too big to fail banks.

Sanders as he says himself is a Democratic Socialist. I would like to see what he would do as President ..... I actually believe he will meet with an accident/heart attack before the 0.001% would let that happen.

If he is the Republican nominee, then it will be a huge land slide to the Democrats and Hillary is in!

And as much as I would like to see a Republican win, I would be very happy to see Trump be defeated by Hillary! If however Rubio or Cruz are through, then Hillary is toast!

Use your brain old fart. Trump only attracts high numbers within the Republican primaries within a field of 6 and a split vote. All those republicans who do not vote for Trump will never vote for him and are likely to jump ship to another Republican candidate and as a last resort over to Hillary.

Not all Americans vote in the primaries. Only a portion of Republican voters do because voting is not compulsory either.

So overall, it's a portion of about 10% of all those who are Republican voters which are voting for Trump. Those who are voting for Heb, Cruz or Rubio are unlikely to support Trump.

There have been polls which suggest Trump wouldn't muster anything over 15% of the national vote. Rubio, and Cruz fare much better and are the best chance for a Republican win.
