And why is Russia our enemy ? Enemies generally start a war. We can not win against Russia any more than Russia can win against us. What will happen is that both Russia and the West lose and humanity perish.
I have come to know Russians quite well over the last 6 years. My impression formulated by talking to many is that they just want to get on with their lives, just as we do. They value and cherish their families just as we do. They have the same needs , fewer wants, that we have.
Further more they do not appear to hate the West, much of western life is evident in Russia, not least McDonalds, and now Burger King, Coka Cola and English/ American music.
Contrary to erroneously perceived beliefs that Russians are not friendly, the fact is that they are just as friendly as you are friendly to them. Yes they also smile and have a tremendous sense of loyalty to their family and friends and a good sense of humour. My last trip to Lefkorossia was my 36th trip over 6 years. Surely I must have learned something about Russians. Im the talkative sort of guy, I listen, I ask questions and formulate a judged opinion.
