I was genuinely relieved that Trump lost the Iowa caucus by such a significant margin myself.

I would describe Trump as a Flash In The Pan. He may yet, according to polls, win the Republican nomination, but the Presidency ???

This message is meant for Erdogan, I'm sure.

The indirect message to Erdogan from Putin is; "lets see if you have the balls to come anywhere near my jets again or even cross the Syria-Turkey border with your jets and see what awaits for you, and further more, once you lose few jets and then you want to close the straits because you feel threatened, I want to see if you have anymore balls left to stop my Navy ships passing through it. Go ahead punk, make my day"!

Putin is egging on the Punk (Erdogan) to send TAF into Syria, but no takers. The Punk is staying away from Syrian airspace. Oh Gee, I wonder why?

Russia challenges Turkey over Syria

Russian President Vladimir Putin has continued to lay down the gauntlet to Ankara over Syria, asking whether Turkish jets have been able to fly over Syrian territory since Russia increased its military presence there.

“Do they think we would run away now? Russia is not that kind of country,” Agence France-Press quoted Putin as saying during his annual news conference on Dec. 17, speaking of Moscow’s increased military presence in Syria.

“Turkey was flying there all the time before, breaching Syrian airspace. Well, let’s see how they are flying there now,” he added.

Turkey has been threatened by the Coalition that if the TAF are to enter Syria then they will fall under coalition command. Attacking the Kurds will not be tolerated by the Coalition.

And you can thank Australia for this, because when Turkey started to bomb the Kurds, there were Australian Troops on the ground with the Kurds and they were Special Forces on top of that and the Australian Military was pissed and took the issue to the highest levels in the Pentagon and White House. It was a really huge issue for Australia.

Obama was even threatened that if Turkey's actions did not cease immediately, Australian Troops will withdraw.

Then Turkey was set up with a show down with Pootin to keep them quiet. By encouraging the Turks to shoot down a Russian Jet, we have Turkey where we want her now.

There are still to this day, Coalition Troops in Kurdish Areas.

But if you think Pootin is in charge of Syrian Airspace, then you're mistaken. If he was in control, then the coalition wouldn't be able to access Syrian Airspace and they are doing that at will, 24/7.

The coalition flying in Syria is tolerated by Syria as long as they are helping defeat ISIS, as well as help the YPG, but since Russia is the ONLY country directly invited by Syrian government to be in Syria, then Syria/Russia can also decide which country cannot fly in Syria, legally, and that means TAF cannot fly in Syria. Turkey's main mission in Syria was to bomb the Kurds and prevent the YPG from going west of the Euphrates river, which the YPG has already crossed into the west of the Euphrates, so where is TAF to stop them?

It's time you have started looking into the bigger picture as to what awaits Turkey down the road, which is to break up Turkey by the west and the Russians via the Syrian war and Erdogan knows this all to well and is crapping in his pants.

Ohh, and by the way, according to Turkey and NATO, Russian jet had crossed into the Turkish/NATO territory again recently and that the Russian jet was warned in Russian and English (pigeon English, I'm sure) by the ground and not a single TAF was anywhere to challenge the Russian Jet. Russia once again denied it had crossed into Turkish/Russian territory.

I wouldn't go that far. I wouldn't say they tolerate the Coalition at all.

Fighting DAESH and assisting the YPG is not the only thing we are doing. We are assisting The Syrian Opposition. We even send in "Technical Advisors" and Intelligence experts all the time.

They just can't do bugger all about let alone decide if we are welcome or not.

Sorry, I don't see it Kikapu.

But if Turkey is split, great.

Well then the Russians would be sailing close to the wind.

If Pootin keeps doing it, it won't take much for Obama to send another message to Pootin ahead of the Peace Talks. They will even pay for the missile.

Turkey is not someone to be messed with especially if you're on the bones of your arse like Russia is with their 33 aircraft in Syria.

It's pretty difficult for Turkey to have the TAF right there considering the fact that these violations are nothing more than second incursions over an over extended jutland.

One thing you will need to understand. If they are bothering to warn aircraft, then they already have their fingers on the trigger. A SAM is all they need.

Oh btw, you do understand that the YPG are not on Assad's side don't you?

They have aligned themselves with the Syrian Opposition, namely with the FSA and some other affiliate militias. They have even fought together in some areas. They also have their delegates at the Peace Proximity Talks as part of the Syrian Democratic Forces (the FSA is also part of this).

This is from the very very biased Smirnoff News:

Syrian Kurds Create Alliance With Opposition Groups to Fight Terrorism

Things are not looking very good for Assad.

Maybe we will wait to hear when he decides to ban the Coalition from "his" Airspace. lol

Syrian Kurds are fighting the terrorist, the ISIS, with the help of the Russians and the Americans, much to the dislike of Turkey, but who cares what Turkey wants. In the meantime, the Russians, Iranians and Assad forces are fighting against the so called "moderate opposition" backed by the Americans and the Saudis. Talk about a "3 RING CIRCUS". The bottom line is, Turkey is left out in the cold and can't act in Syria because nobody wants Turkey in Syria, except the ISIS terrorist. In the meantime, Syrian Kurds are continuing to take more territory in Syria along the Turkish border, with the blessing of the Americans, the Russians and no doubt, the Assad government, which then to become a bulwark between Syria and Turkey. Syrian Kurds will then be able to help the PKK in their war with Turkey, hence the break-up of Turkey, with the blessing of the Americans and Russia.

Kikapu, what is your prediction as who will be the chosen candidate for the Republicans and Democrats.
You were spot on a few years back with Obama. I was wrong.

It is said, that two weeks is a long time in politics and we still have another 10 months before the elections, so anything can happen, but here are my two cents on your question, Milti.

For the Democrats, it will be Hillary for the nomination.

For the Republicans, Donald Trump will become the nominee, but just barely, only because he can trash talk to the ignorant and the rednecks, with Sarah Palin at his side, in one form or other.

As for the Presidency, Trump has no chance against Hillary, because many Republican Conservatives will not vote for Trump, because of Trump's past record on the issues he stood for. At times he was more Democrat than Hillary. He is a business man, so he has gone with the flow on political issues and said what he needed to say to close his business deals with whomever. He is not a man with any real political convictions I believe.

I think Cruz will give Hillary a good run for her money if he was the nominee for the Republicans. If Trump is the nominee, he will more than likely ask Cruz to be his running mate, which Cruz will accept. This will get Trump few more Conservative Republican votes, but I don't think it will be enough for him to win the presidency.

I have no idea who would be Hillary's running mate. Bill perhaps?

So, there you have it. :D

A very good analysis, I share also your " view" that Trump and Clinton will be their respective parties nominees. I also, dare I think, Trump might just scrape through.

The Democrats are not exactly popular right now and as much as I disagree with Trump's views, he is a succesful billionaire and money screams in the USA.

Get ready for ....third WW !!
