I also found slogans such as these below highly offensive . Are they representative of the vast majority of muslims or a tiny minority.
https://www.theguardian.com/uk/2007/jan ... s.religion

you are questioning what exactly reh batch pan seller. i counted 5 offensive posters and there are1,500,000,000 muslims in the world. do maths where is your calculator, stop using your fingers. this is a picture from 2007. you post this today after christian boy walks into a mosque in canada and murders six muslims praying. when 212 million muslims are banned to go to america. families torn appart.

stanatheman dje bodji

With all due respect ....... you echo the descriptions used by the losers of both the Brexit vote and the US Presidential elections. You pour scorn on and belittle those that did not vote the way you believed to be 'The Right Way'! If the minorities votes were 'the right way' ........ why are they a minority? You are suggesting that the majority are intellectually inferior to the minority?

What I see on TV seems to refute that!

I am also pretty sure that he will not serve out his full term, although whether he will go the way of Kennedy or Nixon, or perhaps there is a 'third way', remains to be seen. I just wonder, though. To you and me, what he is doing is downright idiotic and revolting, but how does it play out with his fascist and redneck support base? Perhaps they are hooting with joy that Muslims (not all actually, and non-Muslims from those countries are also included) are being barred entry.

Is it really all just stereotyping?

Members of the Ku Klux Klan gave Nazi salutes and shouted white power slogans as they held a “Donald Trump victory parade” in a North Carolina town.

Winston Churchill's view that Britain should not appease Hitler was a minority view in the 1930's, but most British people now accept that he was right. Just because a view is held by a minority (although 37% of the electorate voted for Brexit and Clinton won the popular vote, so neither of these are actually majority views, but for the sake of argument let's say they are) does not make it wrong. In a pluralist democracy, you can argue and canvas for any opinion you wish. You do not have to kow-tow to the majority, assuming it exists, just use civilised and legal means to argue your case.

It's case of wait and see.

So far he hasn't done enough to really get on the wrong side of Congress. if and when that happens, then it will be on as he would face a hostile Congress as even the GOP Senators will jump ship and obstruct everything he does.

At the moment, the major battle line seems to be pootin and sanctions. If Trump does something stupid in this space, then Congress is going to have something to say about it and pass sanctions into legislation. This also has support among the Democrats as well.

Then sit back and watch the fireworks.

personally, I can't see sanctions being lifted because he got Maddog and I can't imagine Maddog letting Trumpey do anything in that space. 8)

Obviously, we'll just have to see how it plays out. As you know, I think the stalemate in Syria has led to a backdoor deal having been done between the USA and Russia. It is only a conspiracy theory because I have no evidence to back it up with - it just fits the facts as I see them. I think we will see sanctions on Russia being lifted and Russia getting Syria and Ukraine back. Sadly, the popular aspirations in both those two countries will be stabbed in the back, but the US/West was only supporting them because it suited their interests.

Well someone forgot to tell McCain and he is going to get support from Democrats because they feel that Russia had hacked and compromised their Presidential Campaign.

Assuming the entire Democratic Party are supportive of the Sanctions Bill, then all that is needed is a few votes from the GOP and it appears that the Bill is getting bipartisan support if it is needed.

I am really looking forward to Russia's elections because the Americans are going to be returning the favours and interfere badly even to only throw as much mud as possible and reveal all of pootin's criminal associations with the Oligarchy and Russian mafia.

It was once an unwritten law to not interfere into another countries democratic processes.

Hacking into Hillary's Presidential Campaign isn't done by a country that has cut deals and wanting better relations with the USA. That is criminal and also potentially a very hostile act against the USA which has caused damage.

Don't forget that they interfered in the British EU referendum, too. Putin wants to see the EU disintegrate because he feels he has irredentist territorial claims in Europe. He was stationed in East Germany for a long time, after all. It's a quesion of cui bono - I only see one party that has anything to gain.

yes i don't doubt it at all.

this is the new way of waging war. And a war is a war. It doesn't having to be troops storming the trenches these days or involve missiles, fighters and aircraft carriers.

Cyberwar. It's a way of destabilizing and compromising nations and the USA has a capability to engage in this form of war too. So I can't wait to see Pootin's dirty laundry. There is a lot of it too.
