Do you agree with Paphitis,s assesment on Syria

Postby miltiades » Sat Feb 27, 2016 3:48 pm

Much has been written about the Syrian conflic, mostly by Robin and Paphitis and to a lesser extend by my self , Kikapu and others.

We had this poll before, in view of recent developments I ask members to cast their votes on this "repeat" poll.

You should be ashamed of yourselves for supporting the genocide of Sunnis and other marginal minorities making a stand in Aleppo!

The 3 of you are a disgrace. This is about human beings trying to fight for their right to exist, not terrorism.

ISIL are the terrorists and you are letting them off Scott free.

Aleppo was under DAESH attack last night. Whilst there is a ceasefire, the rebels are still fighting on all fronts defending their city against DAESH and Pootin is letting that happen.

Why? What's wrong with what I am saying?

Do you agree that all Syrians have a right to self determine their future and direction of Syria, regardless of religious creed or ethnicity? Or do you agree with extermination and persecution of Syrians?

That's basically what it boils down to.

I think we should leave Assad alone and if he wants Russia to help him recreate stability, I fully support his right to continue down that road.

And what about the Sunnis and all the other groups such as the Kurds, Druze, Assyrians, Turkmen and Christians? Does this stability involve their annihilation and persecution? When will they have equal rights as the Alawites sect?

Who is going to give them their break and leave them alone?

Let me remind you what I said in 2012, page 15 WAR IN SYRIA
"Russia, in my opinion as well as China are absolutely right in not supporting the revolutionaries infested with Islamic extremists and Jihadis. The West is making a dreadful error in contributing financially to the revolutionaries aided and abated by extremist Islamists who come to Syria from all corners of the world.Stay out of Syria is the best option and the only option that the West should consider."

Now lets see what you said on page 21.
" Another thing that confuses me is the fact that the Rebels are backed by fundamentalist Islamists. Sometimes, it is better in helping regimes like Assad, Qaddafi, and Mubarak maintain their power to keep everything under tight control and peaceful. "

What made you change ....strategy General?
Suddenly the Rebels that you told us are backed by fundamentalists have become your heroes
Boy you are full of scata, as of now I shall refer to you as ...General Scatologos

Anyway, if that is the case, you should be voting for Miltiades. You believe that the anihilation of these militias supported by Sunnis, Christians, Druze and Assyrians will recreate peace and stability.
So you agree with Miltiades and should vote for the bastard!

Your misinterpretation and selective quoting is legendary and you have no clue what I was saying so you better shut it before you make even more of a fool of yourself.

Yes then, no one knew whether they were coming or going let alone know who to support. The FSA became an option for us in 2015. At least some of us proceed with care and caution.
