" Ratings agency Moody's has changed the UK's sovereign rating from "stable" to "negative" due to the uncertainty unleashed by the result of the EU referendum.

It said that the unpredictability of UK decision-making factored into its move, as did the likelihood of lower economic growth.

"During the several years in which the UK will have to renegotiate its trade relations with the EU, Moody's expects heightened uncertainty, diminished confidence and lower spending and investment to result in weaker growth," the agency said.

Rival ratings agency Standard & Poor's said before Thursday's referendum that Britain stood to lose its AAA credit rating, and Fitch Ratings said on Friday that the vote would be "moderately negative".

Most " Leave" voters dont give a toss about it ! There main concern is that we now have ...control of our borders , our judicial system, and are not, so they say, told by Brussels what to do !!

Well lets see if Clown Boris negotiates the divorce from the EU, that is if in the meantime war is not declared on Germany!!! What a bunch of illiterate morons to believe the nonsense by Farage and the Clown who is the undisputed candidate to become the next UK Prime Minister!!
In the meantime " Nigel Farage has disowned a pledge to spend £350 million of European Union cash on the NHS after Brexit.

The Ukip leader was asked on ITV’s Good Morning Britain programme whether he would guarantee that the money pledged for the health service during the campaign would now be spent on it.

Speaking on the morning of the referendum result he however said he had never made any such pledge.!!!

"“No I can’t [guarantee it], and I would never have made that claim. That was one of the mistakes that I think the Leave campaign made,” he said.  LEs are you listening ?

I didn't actually see the interview, but I heard on the radio that closet-fascist Farage was demolished by a studio audience of intelligent, articulate people, many of them city workers, and it was made clear that the man doesn't have a clue about anything apart from stirring up the emotions of a segment of the population that feels dispossessed and naively believes him to be their champion. Sadly, the people who were capable of seeing through Farage's lies were not part of the group that was planning to vote to sever the UK from Europe because Rupert Murdoch told them to, anyway. Well, what now, maestro?

That is only your opinion. It also upsets me to see what has happened to the UK over the years when it ceased to be 'home'.(35 yrs ago.) I can remember the old days and the original referendum for us to join a European trading arena. It has been the underhanded, behind closed doors attitude, to shift from an economic union of traders and consumers for the common good into a political Federal States of Europe, lead by mainly German and French interests, that has bought this vote about. Many shouted enough is enough, we don't want to be part of aEuropean Federal State ..... but the political elite didn't listen. They have now got the message loud and clear and others will follow. :x

It is presumptive of you to believe it means 'oblivion' and is engineered by the far right (whatever that actually means in real terms) The people have made a democratic decision .... you either believe in a democracy or you don't!

The decision has been made and whether it was your individual choice, everybody now has to make it work ..... and I think it will work and the result will be the break up of the EU not the UK, that will result. From the ashes of the old, we can learn and build a fairer better system. :)

I know where to go next but I am a nobody ..... I just hope a true leader will come along and unite the British people as Putin has done in Russia ..... in spite of the sanctions imposed on the country and the resulting hardship, he has the peoples support. :D

Vre vlaka, in your stupidity and rush to try and gain some brownie points, you missed the essence of that comment. It was not directed at Ms Cox, you dickbrain, it was directed at the corrupt politicians we have here in Cyprus that constantly make our lives a misery. But what do I expect from a peasant! had assirktir.

He has already come Robin, he is the Clown Boris !! I doubt very much that he will unite the British people however. The downfall has begun in earnest, the union will dissolve by the time we are formally out of Europe.

" Nicola Sturgeon has thrown the future of the United Kingdom into doubt by saying a second independence referendum is “highly likely” in the next two-and-a-half years following UK’s vote to leave the EU. "
