Get Real! wrote:Should peasants be entitled to a vote? Well I don’t think so!

Should peasants be entitled to an opinion? Absolutely not!

Should peasants be on the streets driving? Are you kidding me?

Should peasants be copulating and reproducing? Whaaaaat?

Then what should peasants be doing?

Farming! Assembly in factories, etc… oh and serving the elite of course!

That’s how society should be structured not the current fallacious bullshit running rampant!

Is it any wonder why the world is in such a mess? They foolishly let the peasants out, freed them from the shackles where they belonged, and now we have these dull drones like Milti, Pyro and Sotos, having opinions on forums!

Good grief… :?

I will summarise all of the above to just a short sentence .
SHOULD PSYCHOPATHS BE PERMITTED TO VOTE OR TO INTERACT WITH SANE PEOPLE OR BE LOCKED UP?

One view from Ireland:

Irish Times view: Brexit a bewildering act of self-harm

...

Our neighbours have inflicted a deep wound on their country, economically and politically. And they may well have set in train its disintegration as Scotland and Northern Ireland demand that their expressed preferences be respected. They have dealt a seismic blow to the long-term viability of the EU – around Europe the forces of euroscepticism and xenophobia have received a perhaps irresistible boost. They have also almost certainly plunged not only themselves but Europe into recession – the swift and sudden response of the markets bodes ill.

...

Oh well, those paddies are all thick aren’t they? Thank goodness we’ve got an Australian called Rupert Murdoch to tell us what to think.

indeed. i think back to when cameron went to negotiate with the eu to change the laws so he could save a few quid of tax credit that we paid the poor east european people who worked for below minimum wages so they can send a few quid to their kids to eat food.

who would have thought he had the strategy of the sherrif in blazing saddles. unfortunately it did not work for him.

As the evening draws on ... I cannot help pondering that this is another bit of overdue 'ironic justice'.

Why Colonial Britain had disallowed the Cypriots having their referendum back in the 1950s?

The Little Englanders that destroyed Cyprus are now destroying the UK!

Shame on you!

...we may see England lean more to Turkey (read: Erdogan) with people like these in power, "English" as they are; these men will yearn to have the power he has.

...although a General Election is a good way, now, for Parliament to find its guidance.

It is a revolt against the political elite by ordinary people. The people you are criticising are the Elite .... the Ruling Class .... the Establishment ..... the powerful ..... not the ordinary man in the street. They have had enough too, just as you have had enough, but I think you are aiming your criticism at the wrong section of UK society? This is now spreading across not only the whole of Europe but in the US as well ...... I think at last the ordinary people are waking up and want to change our societies.

Cyprus got what it wanted in 1960 and from that point on they were in charge of their own destiny ...... unfortunately , you also had your ........ Elite .... Ruling Class .... Establishment and the financially powerful! :o

I agree. That's what scares me about the break up of the UK. Traditionally, and before the rise to prominence of the nationalist parties, it was the strong support for the Labour party in Scotland and Wales, particularly the industrial central belt and south, respectively, of those countries that offset the conservatism in most of England, especially the rural areas, and made the two-party system work so well by creating an almost perfect balance between support for the two main left and right-wing parties. Remove even Scotland from the equation, and the rest swings to the right. I can easily see an isolated bankrupt England bolstered by vacuous jingoistic rhetoric moving towards fascism. I can't even help wondering if the far right, assuming it has any plan whatsoever, forced this ruinous referendum through and got the result it wanted precisely because it would bring an environment of economic collapse and chaos that will be conducive for fascists to come to power. I hope I am wrong, but we will see. One thing is for sure - if the little Englanders have forced me to leave Cyprus, it is Scotland I will head for and not their little England.

The stark truth:

...

But not since Suez has the nation’s fate been decided by politicians who knowingly made a straight, shameless, incontrovertible lie the first plank of their campaign. Vote Leave assured the electorate it would reclaim a supposed £350m Brussels takes from us each week. They knew it was a lie. Between them, they promised to spend £111bn on the NHS, cuts to VAT and council tax, higher pensions, a better transport system and replacements for the EU subsidies to the arts, science, farmers and deprived regions. When boring experts said that, far from being rich, we would face a £40bn hole in our public finances, Vote Leave knew how to fight back. In Johnsonian fashion, it said that the truth tellers were corrupt liars in Brussels’ pocket.

...

What tale will serve them now? On Thursday, they won by promising cuts in immigration. On Friday, Johnson and the Eurosceptic ideologue Dan Hannan said that in all probability the number of foreigners coming here won’t fall. On Thursday, they promised the economy would boom. By Friday, the pound was at a 30-year low and Daily Mail readers holidaying abroad were learning not to believe what they read in the papers. On Thursday, they promised £350m extra a week for the NHS. On Friday, it turns out there are “no guarantees”.

Precisely. Where now? Any comments as to what the way forward is if there are any little Englanders available for comment and are not out in the streets waving the flag of the union that is about to fragment, thanks to them.

I have just watched a series of interviews on BBC TV and listened to interviews on BBC Radio and read comments on forums like this. I don’t do Twitter or Facebook.

What is going to destroy the UK is not the vote to leave or actually leaving, it is firstly, the continuous dirge of doom and gloom sceptics who voted to remain and lost in a democratic vote. They are now spouting their opinions on every source they can and dragging the country into the abyss by their continuous whining about what could happen, maybe this or maybe that, if, might , maybe ...... in other words most of them don’t have clue what they are talking about. It is ALL negative and damaging the UK from within.

Secondly, it is the spitefulness of the European Political Elite, the same sort of political elite that those who favoured leaving, voted to get rid of. They want, the decision to leave to fail and are determined to make sure it does by making the divorce as unpleasant as possible! These people are shit scared that the UK will actually become a success, a better country to live in, an expanding economy, dropping jobless figures etc.etc. and others disillusioned with the Federal Plan will attempt to emulate the UK. They are petrified that their Federal Dream and the Euro is going to collapse, which both will eventually with or without the UK being part of a European political union. However did we manage before we had a European Union to tell us what to do?

The continuous belly-aching of the ‘losers’ is what will kill the UK as they help the EU Political Elite to achieve their goals ..,,,,,...to destroy dissent and advance with ever closer European Political Union ! :x
