Yes that appears to the case.

Coalition started before Russia with over 500+ aircraft involved. Russia started later and with only 50 odd aircraft.

Coalition has flown at least 20 times the flight hours for the loss of one airframe.

Russia only completed a fraction and I have lost count of the number of airframes they have lost.

The standards and professionalism is strikingly at a different level between Coalition and Russia. Coalition has better technology and better pilots.

Wow ....... 500 aircraft and you achieved nothing, in four years and with thousands of sorties ! It took the Russians entering the conflict to show the coalition up as they clearly demonstrated they actually made some visible progress in only twelve months. Enough to get the coalition to sit down around the table and talk!

Score I think is ..... fixed wing = 2 ..... one shot down in an ambush by your coalition partner Turkey and one through mechanical failure that ditched in the Med.

Helicopters .... well a few more maybe but the reason is simple to fathom out. Some bloody idiot gave a bunch of head chopping Islamic terrorists anti- aircraft missiles and the only targets they were intended for were Syrian and Russian helicopters. However, the coalition was fighting an enemy that had no such weapons to fight back with. It is what I believe the Americans refer to as a 'Turkey Shoot'? So unless they had a mechanical failure there would be nothing to bring them down except the remote chance of a lucky shot with a mobile AA gun mounted on the back of a pick-up.

When the Syrian and Russians start to push your head chopping Jihadies back toward Iraq, I am sure Daesh will be very honest and deposit all the weapons they hand over.....like anti- aircraft missiles ...... into the US Coalition's Lost Property Department. Mind you ..... they could well send them airmail the next time you start firing at them.

No problem for YOU though as YOU have got it all under control!

They collided with each other! So that shoots down Paphitis pronouncement that the US and coalition pilots are better trained than the Russians, as they obviously are not. They couldn't even blame the Russians this time .
