Good morning all and a very Merry Christmas
Καλά Χριστούγεννα
счастливого Рождества
Up early as usual, today being a special day requires a very early start, after all I'm the ...chef !!
I just love and always have done cooking.
The Turkey is being prepared, home made stuffing, will also make my own gravy, could not find chippolatas but did manage to get cranberry sauce.
Gammon also ready for the oven. I was here in Cyprus last Christmas and cooked the turkey with all the festive trimmings, as well as the gammon. You often hear that the turkey is dry, well not my turkey !!

Children are looking forward to their presents, such an exciting day for them. A big family gathering , many children, such joy to watch them play.

I too am looking forward to my presents , wine, plenty of it !!
Have a great day all and remember not to throw away your leftovers, there are lots of pussies who would welcome them.

Thank you RW my dear friend. I do hope that you and family have a wonderful Christmas.
Robin, I also extend my best wishes to you and your family.
Right now the sun is shining, this after all is Cyprus. My favourite pussy is waiting for her/his breakfast. Still hesitant to come close to me, I think mistrust of humans is deep rooted.

Turkey and Gammon in the oven slow cooking. Children have allready pounced on their presents.

Great Christmas to all .

Have now competed almost 9 months on paradise Island and the thrill of being here has not in any way declined, on the contrary my ..honeymoon is just as vibrant and satisfying as it was way back in my early days. Have absorbed so much, memory contantly recalling childhood events, food too, not least the taste of lahana, stroufudkia and to top it all up something I picked up today. When I first heard the name of this edible plant I did not instantly recognize but a few seconds later the memory recalled!!
MOLOCHES !!

My Greek language is more than elementary but over the last months I have tried to use the Cypriot one which to me is far more expressive than the Greek one. Not just accent or dialect but the total absense of the ludicrous Greek usage of " ula" " itsa" " aki "as in ekdromoula, mbiritsa, ekpomboula, psomaki, even villa is often called villitsa.

Since acquiring a Cyprus TV I have come to the conclusion that the Cyptiot is the authentic Greek language and the Greek merely a ....dialect !!!

By the way I cant help noticing that every Greek, also Cypriot, sports an islamic beard !!! Whats with these g..ng dirty looking beards ? Trixes I say. Ok so its fashion so im told, well it is cheap and dirty looking fashion statement. The Greek government can instanly add millions to its coffers by introducing a Beard Tax , BT for short !!! Oit may also discourage the spread of this unsighly practice to the female members, by the way those female presenters are gorgeous, I like them all !! And so much talent around as seen programmes such as "Greece has talent, The Voice and others. I must admit im intrigued .
Looking forward to the winter when it ...comes !!
Happy new year and get a bloody shave you plonkers !@

Nine months exactly today and I feel great!!
Do I miss London ?? Yea, like a hole in the head. What on earth made me delay my arrival here I often wonder.

On another thread a new member enquired about bringing a car to Cyprus, presumably from the UK.
I pm'ed him offering any help he may require.
Two weeks ago a friend that I met here in Limassol, a young 40 year old man from Netherlands imported a car that he purchased from the UK.
Alas he did not think to ask me for advice first, so he dealt with Limassol customs himself and the clearing agent screwed him up. Well on being asked to investigate I made sure that the clearing agent gave my friend a full refund and I took him along to customs where through a friend clearing agent he paid the correct duty 2453 euros instead of 3794.

I must confess that such sharp practices annoy me immensely, in fact the level of annoyance is greater than that of stupid drivers wirh mobile stuck to their ear whilst turning right, wrong side of the road and without indicating.

My friend was extremely happy and in fact offered me a ....gift!! I told him not to be so fucking stupid, he did however bring me 6 bottles of Red. I just could not resist so I accepted and invided him and his lady for dinner this coming Friday.
Im realy so very very happy on Paradise Island!!

Im thinking of having a ....rave up on the beach !!
Dress optional but no fucking beards, i have seen enough bloody whiskers, sometimes , momentarily, I feel as if Im in a theocratic Islamic country. Honestly, every bloody tv presenter has an islamic beard. All started in Greece Im told, apparently they are all gay and grow a beard as a cover up, thats why lesbians are all clean shaven. Mind you those female tv presenters are bloody gorgeous. All blonde mind you !!
