Anywhere except greek islands.... Main or Northern Europe.... Or..... in Peru... Incas Trail for a couple of weeks.... I was planning to go there next month, but business reasons forced me to postpone it for the future...

Peru sounds nice ... and expensive! I am guessing a ticket for Peru is more than 600 pounds.

Actually the total trip price, ticket, trip, personal expenses, special winter clothing, new winter sleeping bag for the trail etc, would be around 3,000EU....

Maria, it depends on your lifestyle... you can go to london, go clubbing there, do a bit of tourist viewing, go to a theater, musical, go to the seaside there, visit Scotland, Lake District, Cornwalls, Ireland. Go to any European country and just pay it a visit. Germany, France, Sweden, Finland, Belgium, Austria, Netherlands... anyone and all of them have something to offer you if your are not the usual Cyprioy close-minded person that his/her only overseas trip is to Athens for shopping at Ermou street in the day and Remos etc Clubs in the night.

I think you are a bit unfair with Athens. It is a very interesting place and there are many nice things to see and do there. If some people go to Athens twice a year just for shopping this doesn't mean the city is not a good tourist destination, quite the opposite.

I like to visit places with nice nature and a culture different from ours. I would like to visit China, Japan or Australia but my budget will not allow that

I have never been to Paris and I am sure it is a very interesting place. I am not sure if my 600 pounds budget will allow me to have a comfortable vacation there since Paris is an expensive city.

I did not say that Athens is not a nice city, it is a beatiful one indeed. But compared to other places, you can find better ones. My complaint is not for ...some, but for many people, and not for twice a year but for many times a year! I would also like to visit these countries, but my ...curiosity points me to Tibet, Peru, African Safari.... Paris like all big cities have provisions for both cheap and expensive tourism, it's a matter of compromise and willingness. Just a have a look on the web to get an idea. Personally I do not choose expensive 5 star hotels, since I'always ...outside the hotel, hence I do not care if it has a pianno bar, a spa, a 24 hrs room service etc. What is important to me is the location.
