Hi LS

I'm sure you won't have a problem finding a friendly expat in Paphos to help set up your computer.

> By the way, have you lived in Cyprus long?

We've been living in Cyprus for nearly four years.

Hi nhawarth,

Our house was finished in June 05, I'm now back in England, selling my husbands business and all our worldly goods, as too speak. The final final move will be in March, so not long now, and I have to say that I cannot wait, we have met some really nice couples here and are looking forward very much to a slower pace of Life.
I think it will be hard to stop my husband from being a work aholic, as he has always run his own business and its in his blood. Hopefully I will be able to distract him with golf, fishing etc!
How would you some up living here on the island, have any regrets? was it what you thought it would be? DO or did you find it lonley at anytime?

Regards
LS

Hi Little sugar

You asked if anyone ever felt lonley; it is only the sad and friendless people who have time to post on Cyprus-Forum :-)

Hi LS

> How would you some up living here on the island, have any regrets?

None at all - that's not quite true, I sometimes miss my old work colleagues and friends

> was it what you thought it would be?

Yes it is. We'd been regular visitors to the island since 1984 and made the decision to retire here in the late '80s. During our visits we spent quite a bit of time touring round to decide where we wanted to live. So we knew what to expect,

> DO or did you find it lonley at anytime?

No - we soon made new friends and we keep ourselves quite busy.

You have to come here with an open mind - it is a foreign country and things are different here. Don't expect it to be a little bit of England with sunshine.

Hi Lana,
So when I move out in March I suppose I will not be having fun reading from this Forum anymore, I will be far too busy lunching with my friends, playing golf, spending prime time with my husband, the list is endless, but I must say this site has killed the boredom of sitting in this little office, watching the rain fall ! while stuck over here in England.

Fondest Regards

Hi nhowarth,

So it sounds like my husband and I will be very happy over in the Sun, thanks for your comments, you have been more than helpful and I wish you many more years of happiness.

Hi LS,

Thank you and I hope your move to Cyprus goes well - it's not long now, you'd better start packing!

There is another forum that focuses on Paphos with a lot of local information, advice and chatter. You can find it at: http://www.cyprusliving.org/ - maybe I'll see you there.

Best regards, Nigel
