I visited Australia twice and I must say Sydney is indeed a beautiful place. I stayed in the same hotel both times. The first time I went the hotel was called ANA and then changed to Shangri-La. My second visit was interesting for a few reasons and I had the biggest laugh of my life in check in.

The team from American Choppers were there and being a fan spoke to all and shared a drink with Mikey. After a week Dick Cheney visited Australia and stayed there and the security was just crazy.

One thing I will never forget was our check-in. My wife and I went to the desk and I gave our name to the lady behind the desk, she looked at her screen and said she couldn't find us. So I started spelling the name R for Romeo U for uniform, S for Sierra, at this point she looked up at me and asked "how do you spell Sierra"

I wish I was there now. I'd love a fish and chips at Doyles

Sydney is a pretty damn cool place. So is Melbourne and so is Adelaide and so is Brisbane.

Melbourne and Adelaide are very European and very cultural.

Sydney, Brisvegas, and Perth are Americanised.

Some people love Melbourne, others love Sydney. But in my opinion, Sydney really is something but then again, so is Melbourne, Brisbane and Adelaide.

Australia always attracts a very high end kind of tourist as well because it is expensive to get here.

I heard he lives in The Blue Mountains. It's very nice up there.

Mountains and beautiful lush green forests everywhere.

The most beautiful place in Australia, in my opinion is the Northern NSW coast - Coffs Harbour, to Gold Coast. Best beaches and rain-forests too right to the sea. Best climate and weather too.

But then again, so is Lorn along the 12 Apostles Coast.

Noosa too.

So many places. you can get lost in Australia and never want to leave. It is the lucky country. Everything is so chilled and relaxed. Australians are pretty unique kind of people. Very friendly too.

Yes he lived in The Blue Mountains. I wanted to meet up with him again but our Australian friends arranged a trip to Hayman island and they arranged lots of other things so we had a very busy schedule.
We left Cyprus in 64 because my brother was attending the English School in the south and couldn't go after the troubles. My dad told me after coming back from my first visit to Australia that he was in fact invited to settle there. I'm happy where I am, England is more of a home to me now than Cyprus could ever be but I would have been happy in Australia too, I think.

I have no idea if the estimated 40,000 TC's living in Australia plan on attacking the establishment so I wouldn't know B25. As for what happened between 63-74? I'd like to think those days are well and truly behind us. Time to move on B25, don't you think?

You are gonna have a good time.

I'm currently a Brisvegas base right now. Been there for 3 months. Before that I was a Sydney base for a year.

So basically done all Australian cities so don't know where I will be from here because that is the state of Aviation right now. Also tossing up an American Option so we will see what happens. If I am here, will be happy to meet.

Aussies call Brisbane, Brisvegas. Very plastic.

Oh man! I'm glad you like England. If you're happy then that's all that counts.

But you should have relocated to Australia. It's just a lot more nicer and life is better.

I'm currently tossing up on a move to USA to work there. I've been invited on a green card and I have a choice between New Jersey or Washington. I prefer the USA than China or the Middle East as I think I could live there and even raise a family there easier. It's nicer. But it isn't as nice as Australia is and it is also a lot colder and lifestyle not as good but it is ok depending on how you set yourself up.

If I go, I will be there for a while, probably try and get my kids US Citizenship as well, and open up some life options for them apart from Australia and Cyprus.

It's hard getting into Australia as well. It also has the most discriminating immigration policies now. They are accepting people based on their qualifications and religion.

Basically accepting on Christian immigration and keeping Muslims out. So a lot of people are coming from Middle East but they all seem to be Christian - Coptic, Orthodox, Catholic, Assyrian, Yazidi and so on.

Australia is basically doing what Trump was saying to do and everyone is criticizing Trump but Australia is basically put Trump policies into practice and its getting away with it.

Yes, Bir still lives in the Blue Mountain Region. I met up with him also couple of years ago for couple of days at the Blue Mountains and a day in Sydney. I drove from Adelaide to Sydney along the coast for about 2 weeks. Most definitely Melbourne and Sydney take the prize as the most fascinating cities in Australia that I had seen during the drive. Next time I will drive north from Sydney to Brisbane, Darwin, Alice Springs to Adelaide. I loved the friendly nature and hospitality of the Aussies, as well as their great food. Gooday mate! :D

There isn't a bad city in Australia.

Amazing you did all that. You are very lucky.

Adelaide is famous for Hahndorf, Clare Valley and Barossa Valley and probably the best wines in the world. Also known for the best craft beers and it is very German culturally. It produces wines that are better than French wines. It has very old European architecture and has a very European feel to it. The best planned city in the world. Lots of parks and lots of recreation.

Melbourne, also very European and cultural and famous or its fashion and restaurants. The best coffee in the world and just so cosmo.

Sydney, well Sydney is just out there. No one can really describe it. But has a very silicon valley American feel to it. Just like Brisbane. Otherwise known as Brisvegas. Very silicon valley or Los Angeles feel to it. The jury is out on which city is the best. Personally, I like Sydney. But there are plenty who disagree with me and say Melbourne. And there are plenty who disagree with Sydney and Melbourne and say Adelaide. Brisbane too. Then you got the Gold Coast too which is phenomenal.

Perth is the city I like the least, but really, it is also a very fine place with the Swan River and very picturesque. It has a Cypriot climate,

Darwin is very tropical. Known for its fishing and outdoors lifestyle.

I have lived in every Australian city now except for Hobart, which is like Adelaide and Melbourne. I've been to Hobart, just not lived it. It is a very gorgeous place. Tasmania is extremely pretty.

I was in Darwin for a while too, some years back and have very fond memories of the place. It is also famous for its Greek Kalymnian (Kalymnos) Community and sponge divers from Greece and Japan. Darwin has the best Greek community ever. Just absolutely marvelous people.

Also famous for the pearling industry and for Paspalley Pearls. A Greek Billionaire that has outlets in LA, New York, Dubai and sells some of the most expensive and exclusive pearl jewellery on the planet. Also owns Pearl Aviation. A very fine man that guy.
