I noticed that a lot of things don't ship to Cyprus from Amazon anymore, but I don't think it is everything with a battery. Recently I got a smartwatch without any problems. Actually it was dead on arrival, so I had to ship it back and they mailed me another... but shipping it was not an issue. And not all electronics have batteries so there is still a lot of things you can order from them.

On Monday I am planning to order a VR headset with battery. I added it to my shopping cart and I proceeded with the ordering process until the last page and it seems that they can ship it.

Which watch did you buy...?

I got an Amazfit Stratos about a month ago and think it is wonderful!

The problem with Amazon is they will sometimes accept the order but then just not ship it... Eventually they cancel the order.

This happened a few weeks ago with a set of Bluetooth earphones - I eventually cancelled the order and purchased from an ebay seller instead...

It happened to me once for my order to get stuck and then cancelled but I don't remember what that ordered contained... now I think about it maybe it was the smartwatch! But I contacted Amazon and they sorted it out. It was the Garmin Vivoactive 3, but it was for a gift.

The non rechargeable Lithium are totally different chemistry, and hence of no risk.
While these batteries ARE imo the future because they keep their charge for years, they do have some risk.

I was buying Lipo from HobbyKing, it's one year now he stopped shipping to any country
Other factors may relate to specific countries that don't have enough orders per month to enable the companies get cheap rates.
PixMania (based in France) was once great, but he stopped supplying to most countries.

I don't know what battery the smartwatch has inside, but it is definitely rechargeable.

I had ordered many things from PixMania, I was sad when they stopped shipping to Cyprus :(

The only rechargeable type for such a small thing is a tiny Lipo.
Almost 100% of gadgets charged via USB cable contain Lipo.
Almost all laptop batteries are Li-ion (18650 type cells)

This smartwatch contains an 170 mAh Lipo

I didn't need to buy a laptop, tablet or phone recently so I haven't done any research for alternatives. My last several phones / tablets were all bought from Amazon. If that is not possible anymore then we will have to find an alternative :( If I find something good I will let you know. Many years ago I used this: https://www.computeruniverse.net/en/ and there is also a price search engine for other German shops here: https://www.guenstiger.de ... but few of them ship to Cyprus and I don't know if they will have the same issue with products that contain batteries. Then there are also the Chinese stores. In terms of pricing I don't think it will be difficult to find alternatives, but I doubt that there are many online stores as trustworthy and with the customer service that Amazon can offer.
