Earthquakes

There were 2 earthquakes in Limassol at around 3:30, about 5 minutes from each other. Not big, but they were felt.

Another small one a few minutes ago. I don't think I would have noticed this one if I was sleeping.

there seems to be quite a few earthquakes as of late, the question is how safe is turkey's nuclear plan going to...

the reason I am asking, the Japanese disaster is affecting the pacific ocean in a disastrous way and there no end on sight...

I also saw a documentary where radiation was measured inside a plane flying over the middle of the US...

Having experienced many earthquakes in San Francisco up to 7.1 on the Richter scale, anything under 5.0, I don‘t even bother to leave my chair. :D

Last year when we had a strong one in Nicosia (and the only one I ever experienced) I jumped off the couch, opened the nearest door and rushed outside while my wife just stood there worrying about stuff in the house!

I shouted… “What the hell you doing there? Come out here with me... hurry!”

I later had to explain that our earthquake “action plan” was very simple... next time I run you follow!

You are not supposed to dash outside, as you may get hit by falling debri. You need to stand under a door frame, beam, or under strong furniture. In the immediate moments of a tremor, that's when most things fall and dashing out into them, is wrong!
