And what does internet freedom mean anyway? it's a pipe dream because all that is is another mode for global communications. People can use the internet for all sorts of illegal purposes and the authorities have a right to try and detect these activities to protect the public from things like terrorism, narcotics, and child pornography among many other things.

So stop behaving like a spoilt brat.

Google has done so many things for the internet and we should at least be grateful.

Your browser is hardly a push for a people's browser. What is a push for a people's browser is something that is open source and adaptable - like Mozilla Firefox. That is a people's browser that an be configured by the end user to be as private as they like with just a few clicks of the mouse inside it's OPTIONS menu and with the addition of 1 and maybe 2 add ons. In fact, only 1 add on is required. Oh and you can stop advertising through the HOSTS file as well so don't even need to have an add on.

With the exception of your last sentence, you are mostly talking nonsense.

The masses don’t know how to make a browser “private & secure” and neither do you. You haven't even begun to scratch the surface.

The privacy & security of a browser is a multi-faceted complex array of many factors that users cannot possibly be aware of. You just assume you know, but such knowledge is only attained by developers who know all the tricks of the trade.

All you can do is place your faith on the promises of 3rd party ad-ons but that’s just not good enough and defeats the very purpose of privacy & security because such a browser can NEVER be 3rd party configurable, it's an oxymoron!

So you claim the masses don't know how to be private.

Right! So you are going to provide your own browser and disallow them from logging into any Google Servers.. Mmmmm

Let's take the matches from the kiddies because they will burn their little fingers. Never-mind if they want to to stream a movie from YouTube, that's just bad luck because big bad Google disrespects their privacy.

The reality however is this! Google doesn't give a shit about you or anyone else. All they are doing is targeting their adverts to the people that may be interested in those products so it maximises its revenue. Something even an idiot can control by going into their Google account and wiping their entire history, and not logging into the Google servers to begin with. Taking this control away from people is not on and your downfall. But allowing them the ability to log into YouTube when they need to.

Secondly you are barking up the wrong tree. it isn't Google that is snooping around. It's actually your ISP and not Google or others like safari and Apple. In fact, they are at the forefront of fighting for a "free internet". It's actually the Government through EU, US or your local jurisdiction's internet laws. The Government is able to legally access your metadata and requires the ISP to maintain our metadata in case the Government asks for it. It's got nothing to do with Google at all. If the Government wants to know what you are browsing, all they need to do is ask CYTA or whoever is your ISP.

And your browser does not protect people from this. And even if it did, how would you feel if through your activity, you prevented a Government crack down on some terrorists that manage blow up a train station killing a 100 people? I know, it is unlikely, but let's just imagine this happened by some extreme fluke. After all, stranger things have happened. How would you feel about it?

Yes it's one thing asking for a "free internet" which we do have. You and I can do what we like. No one cares, and no Government cares because we are innocent internet users. Even if you watch porn, the Government doesn't care, Google don't care, and you are free to do that. As long as you don't do silly stuff and seek child pornography, you got nothing to worry about.

You have an issue with Google Advertising. Google have a license to print money and good on them. They found the niche and have a commanding market share, because they are second to none and control the market.

But admit it, you have no clue what it means for a "free internet".

the difference between you is that you switch everything off and leave nothing up to the user.

Mozilla and others just give you the tools, and the support so that the user decides what they want to do and they provide all the information any novice may need to go from one extreme to the other.

Your browser achieves nothing. There is only one way to stay private and that is with the TOR browser or using a VPN. And even that is doubtful but there you go.
