I feel sorry for some people here who work really hard and to the best of their abilities -yet get treated so badly by their bosses. At times the attitude that an employee is merely a short term resource to make the boss money, is so bad. If bosses realised that by treating employees with respect and by paying them a decent salary, the employee would contribute so much more.

Come the Revolution all this will be put right...hang on we already have a Communist Government, what is going wrong?

Lana

You got it Lana. You got a Communist Goverment. That is what is wrong.
Which Communist country helped it's people become wealthy, even just make a good living?

Leonidas.
ps
I got 31 employees. I treat them like partners and they share in the company profitability. Not all bosses are selfish. And I am definetly not a boss.

You should teach your boss Mikre. And if that what he/she is, then you need a coach. Bosses are from the old school.

JUST don't forget where you are now if you plan to start your own company.

At least in the Medical field where I'm now there are no prospects at all to start my own company, too saturated. Only consulting

Do you mean medical consulting or pharmaceutical consulting (GMP etc...)?
I work at pharma industry and will work at this job also in Limassol from February.

sk, did your Norwegian friend also tell you that he'll have to pay maybe 20000CYP for a car (ordinary, new family car - say a Toyota or similar), or that an apartment will cost him at least 100 000 CYP (small, in the suberbs) - my city centre apartment cost me around 200 000CYP.
Apply the same principles to food, taxes etc. and you will find that 1800 a month isn't as great as it sounds. You have to balance wages against the cost of living.
Mind you, Norway does rate at (near) the top of the UN's list of best places to live, and that's with what some might call a "communist" government (read anything left of Atilla the Hun). But it's an economic/social sort of thing - it doesn't mention the crappy weather or the other things that count (you know, the best things in life that are supposed to be free - until you read the small print!)
