tell us why the GBP is falling against the euro again. I mean matters have turned for the worst for Boris, so I expected things to pick up, but alas!!!

There is one and only one reason as to Sterling performance. BREXIT.
The financial markets are not driven by emotional pseudo patriotism, they react purely on financial reasons. The markets consider Brexit as bad for the UK economy, just as I and millions of others do. If Brexit does happen then Sterling will fall fat below it's present levels. If an extension is granted then Sterling will rise and should article 50 be revoked Stetling will rise to it's pre referendum level.
Financial markets , globally, consider Brexit as catastrophic for the UK economy.
The idiots who think that our economy will ....thrive ie Paphitis, are just simply ignorant , just as he was when he stated that his debts are tax deductible. The EU is the world's largest trading block, leaving it will be detrimental to pur economy with severe economic consequences .

OK so whats the reason it has jumped 3 cents over night?? Yesterday 1.10xx this morning 1.13xx????

Read the news.

Still climbing, so what's the news??

Lordo wrote:if they were comfortable with wto rules and it will only apply to uk not northern ireland why waste so much time.

you don't seem to understand that northern ireland has been part of ireland since the good friday agreement. it just so happens that we were all in the eu so it made no difference. but now that uk decided to leave eu it does make a difference. as gfa was before the brexit vote, in international agreement terms it does not apply to northern ireland. by all means uk can apply to international court and ask to use artcile 62 to prize northern ireland out of the eu but it will fail. this was the advice given to may rgeardin backstop and why he said we shall remain in the backstop forever. we will not prize northern ireland out of ireland politically speaking.

at least learn some facts for fak sake man.

here is the beast. brexit effecively gifts northern ireland to the republic gift wrapped legally speaking. it will do more for irish unification that ira did with their bombs.

Really? Northern Ireland is part of the UK. Northern Ireland is NOT part of the Republic at all.

No it doesn't gift anything to Eire.

NI is the most heavily subsidised area of the UK - £5k pa per head. Public spending highest at £14k per capita. It almost costs as much as the UK’s EU membership. Revenue per head there is virtually the lowest. Not to mention the potential political fallout from an almost million strong disgruntled Protestant population.

I doubt Varadakar’s champing at the bit to take that on. Maintaining the status quo would probably be a preferred solution for him. It’s more about trade and commerce generally.

Britain would be thankful to this DUTCH MEP for his kind and sincere words.

I hope Britain is an inspiration to his country as well, to fight on the beaches, and never surrender.

Great stuff to see such unity and solidarity.

She is so scary!

One of the BREXIT Party MEPs needed counseling because he had to sit next to her on a TV Panel. The therapy required cost the party a fortune.

there a comin. not long left now. 19th is next week right. thats the day of reckoning where b'stard will have to explain how easy it was not to get a deal.

unless of course he has decided to sacrifice northern ireland. but either way he will not get hisplan though because unless it has passed the 6 tests labour set for the brexit plan, it will not pass even if he does get a deal, that will be voted down just like may's deal and its not even may, it is october.
