Watch and weep loser!

The UK is the boss over the EU now! Get over it!

The EU tried to fight and internationally embarrass the UK and now they are going to pay a very high price.

BORIS has all the aces and not before time. He is passing a law that will outlaw any extensions beyond the end of 2020 whether there is an agreement or not Now watch the panic in the EU. Watch and learn! :D

He's my distant cousin but it doesn't alter the fact he is a cunt.
I am disappointed with the brexit referendum results but it is what it is. Why are we discussing this when there were other more important questions put to you? You escalated this case and turned it into a personal one, you started the insults so I'm responding in kind. Show me you have balls by staying on the subject or just shut the fuck up, for your own good I might add.

Don't flatter yourself.

You are not bright enough to claim to be a distant cousin and it is also very clear to me that Boris' anglo/celtic and germano/scandinavian genes are predominant.

He displays no evidence of asiatic or mongolian features as it is probably so dilluted or his ancestor was probably of Greek genetics and not Turkish genetics which is a good explanation.

We are beginning to see another “dictator” in the making I’m afraid.

This is what happens when one has too much power.

Absolute power corrupts absolutely.

Once again, this is the stupidity of the voters and they deserve all the shit that will rain on them if and when a no deal Brexit becomes a reality. One thing for sure, the EU is not going to be pushed around by Boris. They knew all along Boris is a charlatan and cannot be trusted to have an agreed Brexit. The EU has been ready for a no deal Brexit all along. Boris can have all the bravado grandstanding he wants, but the EU will not give into him. The truth is, the Tories want a no deal Brexit, so that they can fuck the workers, water down environmental protections and protections on food and drugs. They will have less human rights protections to a point of a “police state”. I am glad I don’t live in the UK.

Johnson has less than half the majority Blair had in both 1997 & 2001. Thatcher had 63 seats more in 83 and 42 more in 87. Wilson +18 in 66. "Adolph" Macmillan +20 in 59.

Atlee - that famous dictator - +66 in 1945. Lloyd George - the Welsh tyrant - 158 more in 1918.

Perspective: a particular attitude towards or way of regarding something  That is - let's forget about the recent election + history and continue with the "Bash Boris" stuff.

The leavers have spent 3.5 years arguing amongst themselves as to what leaving means or does not mean. Sure in that time they have finally 'defeated' those who sought to stop brexit entirely, though the opportunity for them to do so only existed because of the factional fighting amongst leavers as to what leave actually meant. Beyond that nothing has been resolved yet, despite the 'spin'. The same issues are still the same issues. For all the same reasons. Whatever deal, or no deal exit happens large numbers of those Johnson gave promises too to get their support will be very pissed off. The only question is which side he will chose to piss off and 'betray' next at his convenience. It might well yet be the 'hardest leavers' like the ERG that he chooses to piss off but if he meets their wants then doing so involves pissing off others. With his current majority he no longer has any where to hide. He might have got some traction 'spinning' the line that he was a 'new leader' and had only been in 'office' for 120 days in the last election and that he himself had not been part of the Tory parties 9 years of austerity and he himself had not voted against Brexit deals multiple times but I doubt that will play as well in the next.

It was Tories in power when the referendum was called. It was Tories in power through the tortuous period from the referendum result to today. It will be Tories in power when the next deadline comes. If the UK does enter a new golden age of increased prosperity for all as a result of all this then I would welcome that. I just would not personally be putting money on it right now.

My apologies for the lack of significant responses. I'm off out soon for one of my 2 or 3 times a week "lunches (dinners) with ordinary people".

The idea that Boris Johnson is a Hitler in the making has popped up quite a few times over the past few months. Was it in here where somebody recently suggested his pledge to recruit more police was the "creation of a new SS"? It's of course a ridiculous idea, typical of the far left paranoid (Momentum) mindset.

My references to past elections and the resultant majorities gained was an attempt to shine the light of reality on the notion. Does anybody - I mean seriously - believe that Boris Johnson is a "Dictator in the making".

No, you spent the last 3½ years arguing what leaving means!

Those of us that voted Leave knew exactly what it meant...

Which is clearly bollocks. Even now Farage does not think the deal on offer is right. The DUP do not think it is right. If Johnson no deal exists at end of 2020 there will be many Tory MP's who will think that is not right either and if he does not there will be many who think that is not right. You just live in a fantasy world as far as I can tell.

If such a singular notion across all those who wanted to leave had of actually existed in the real world and not just in your head then we would have left on 29th March 2019. Of course you do not want to accept this reality so you just deny it. Evidence is immaterial using such an approach.

These same core issues are still to be resolved and it will be interesting to me to see who you, just like Johnson will have to, 'dump' in the process. Pretty much as Farage has now been 'dumped' by you and Johnson.

This reality is why sterling is today lower against the Euro than it was just before the election result came in ;)
