A few months back I had an hour or so to kill whilst waiting for an appointment. Took a stroll up MakArios Avenue just browsing at some shops, ypu know shops that do not display prices on their ware. Well I spotted this gorgeous " speciment" of a blonde inside a boutique and just couldn't resist entering the shop and having a closer look.!!
The window display had some T shirts and I thought one or two more would compliment my 50 or so that I allready have. In I go and was welcomed by this gorgeous blond who spoke Greek and English. I asked if they had the T shirts in light blue, yes we have she smilingly replied. What size she asked
I take medium I said but by the way how much are they ? 150 euro she replied
I noticed they had a crocodile " label" on the left side. Do they have pockets I asked. No she charmingly replied, no pockets. Oh well I added, had they had pockets I would have bought half a dozen !!
Are there Stupid people who would pay 150 euros for a fucking T shirt, no lining no pocket just a crocodile emblem !!!
There obviously are !! I made my exit , she didn't .... fancy me by the way

Yes! I would buy a shirt for a 150 Euros.

I have bought boots with leather souls for 700 euros as well. They last for a minimum of 8 years. So you do the math. It comes at under 100 Euros per year, and people know they are RM Williams Boots.

First thing I looked at when I was on interview boards was presentation, clothing and shoes. First impressions last. Make it count or lose!

Manners, respect, and presentation is important.

It isn't narcisistic or vain. If someone puts in the extra effort, then they deserve extra credit. It's a conservative industry and everything has to be perfect. Shirts ironed and pressed with a single crisp crease, and also the same for the trousers, and shoes can't be some cheap skate lido flip flops.

1953. Provided by English charity workers.
We were NEVER visited by any religious person in fact we were never visited by Cypriots apart from family.
My involvement with Ayios Stephanos taught me a lot !!!
The church were too busy peddling fairy tales just as they do now with icons shedding tears right left and centre. And you know what ? People actually believe these absurdities!!

Is it owned by the Church? If it isn't owned by the Church, hen why are they called Agios Stephanos?

I am pretty sure the island nation of Saint Kitts and Nevis is not owned by the church. Nor for that matter is the brand St Michael in the UK either

Not the same thing arsehole.

Usually when organizations are named after a Saint, and brandish the crucifix on their emblem in Cyprus and also in Australia, they are owned by the Church.

All hospitals, hospices and Schools such as the school my children attend, also brandish a Crucifix, are also named after a Saint and is also owned by the relevant Church, which is Church of England in that case.

Buying a good pair of shoes has nothing to do with wealth when a nice pair of hand made leather shoes with replaceable soles can last 7 to 10 years depending on how you look after them.

A 700 Euro pair of RM William boots that lasts you 7 years is the same as spending 100 Euros on disposable shoes that you will likely throw out after 12 months or less.

And it is what I would expet from a professional. You can judge a person from their shoes.

Who on earth wants to wear a pair of shoes for 7 years.!! Besides , shoes are meant for .....walking not showing off !! I haven't bought a pair since coming to Cyprus nearly 3 years ago and when I do it will be a pair costing no more than 30 euros or 5 bottles of red.

I do! I love my RM Williams.

It's not about showing off. It's about looking professional, clean, and crisp. I wear them at work.

For the same money you spend on shoes I get a handcrafted masterpiece, with leather sole I can replace each time it wears out. And there is nothing like real leather. They are also a good safety boot.

Do you know I am also a pen collector.

I have some expensive pens. My most expensive one is worth about 3000 euros. Pens like this are highly sort after too.

I have a pen fetish.

I don't carry them around or use them. Although I do like to brandish high quality but affordable pens. At work, I have a habit of losing my pens so I just use a cheap bic.

I don't even have them on display in my home. They are in a safe. Most haven't seen the sun for years.

My oldest one is from the 1950s and actually quite rare.

 So called fashion has made men a d women look more stupid than they actually might be. Take this trend to wear torn trousers, what a stupid trend, I said before that if both male and female genitals were removable the idiots would no doubt be displaying one ball or one tit on their forehead, a dick stuck on their ear
Another utterly stupid " fashion accessory " are the various piercings that morons proudly adorn their bodies with as well as fucking tattoos.
When I was a child beards were associated with the elderly, male and ....female, now young men in late teens early 20s because of "fashion" sport whiskers looking like mullaes. There are many stupid fashion statements not least men wearing a ...black shoe on one foot and a ...pink one on the other !! What a load of Plonkers !!
