When your country has done something wrong, you have to accept it but do not blame the people, it is the political leaders that are at fault.

Stop being a fascist then.

Erdoganomics has eaten peoples saving up through inflation,

The lira has lost an unprecedented 35% of its value in the past 8 months alone. Which is putting extraordinary pressures on banks and business's.

And Errordoagain's solution is to in-debt society further with cheap loans to survive, that will probably become non serviceable.

Some pundits are talking about the country being on the verge of hyper-inflation and a likely run on the banks.

What are you trying to talk about?

The Cyprus bail out from 10 years ago, troika looking in to peoples bank accounts and fascists.

llok sonny I have never defended Turkey or Erdogan or any other politician from Turkey or Northern Cyprus that is not on the left.

The reason why I do not care for Erdogan or Turkey is becasue I am not Turkish. I do care what the fall of the Lira is doing to TCs but there is nothing that can be done. Bitching about it is not going to change anything. If Erdogan is gone you are only going to have another asshole come to power over there with no change on Cyprus policy.

The reason whaty I nrought up Troika and haircut was to show you how stupid you sounded moaning about another country when your own country did worse, and coming up with stupid comment like they have no money in their banks which is why they have not applied the haircut. Your comments were very childish indeed.

Your obsession with Turkey beiong bankrupt or not does not make one bit of difference. The value of Lira has always falling. I remember Turkish Lira beoing 30 to a pound back in 72. Then after the war, it went all the way to 3 million to a pound, at which point Erdogan dropped 6 zeros off it and called YTL. You are worried about fall of 35%, have you any idea what percentage is 30 TL to 3 million?

Fascist is a person who cannot stomach crisism of their country no matter how wrong they have been. Most of the GCs here have this trait with the exception of just a few people.

You are so thick that responding to every one of your follies would be futile. But if I don't respond, you keep running with the bs.

Waste of time.

TL hit 13.50 to the euro today, and nearly 12 to the dollar.

Errordoagain was defending his policy of lower interest rates and that sent the Lira tumbling to new lows.

The Lira has now lost about 40% of its value this year alone and no change in policy is in sight. He said he is looking to cut interest rates again in December.

Economics experts are calling his handling of the economy a huge experiment gone wrong, with no end in sight.

With predictions that hyperinflation is on the horizon and the country probably wont be able to service her external debt.

Erdoganomics at it‘s best.

It seems there are other forces playing on the demise of the Turkish Lira than just the I’ll advice reduction of the interests rates and the blooming inflation.

Turkey was already on it‘s way out of the G20 before, but with the implosion of the TL in the last few weeks against the UD Dollar, Turkey will be heading towards “G30“.

Turks who have mortgages based on foreign currencies must be having sleepless nights at present and long time to come.

Sad really!

yes it is sad,

Turkey could really be a force for good in the region but as it turns out, she is the common denominator for most things bad.

The mentality of the people have kept this despot in power for far too long but they are all going to pay the price in the end.

Im waiting for hyper-inflation to kick in and business folding because they cant service their debt denominated in foreign currency.

Anyway, there will always be some idiot trying to tell you that this is good for exports or comparing it the Cyprus haircut.

It broke 15 to the euro as well.

Hyper inflation will set in soon and those that can get away with it wont want to accepts payments in TL.

Merchants will probably start hoarding their stock too. Because they will be able to sell at a higher price later and replacing it will be too expensive.

Trying to buy a pair of flip flops or a bag of rice will require 1 hours worth of haggling if you can find it.

Its what happens when you try to bring Ottoman back and live under an Islamic dictatorship.

The TL tanked 30% against the USD in the last week.

A week ago it was 10 to the dollar, today, it broke 13 to the dollar.

And nearly 40% devaluation against the euro from a week ago.

It went from around 11 to breaking 15.

Ooouch...
