British betrayal of Hong Kong

Postby Paphitis » Sun Apr 26, 2020 6:14 pm

Yes it's a betrayal.

Everyone may think I don't like Chy-nese, but on the contrary, I like Chinese.

So one might ask what the difference is between Chy-nese and Chinese. Well, Chy-nese come from Chy-na. Same place where Chy-na Virus comes from.

Chinese come from Hong Kong and Taiwan.

Now this thread is about the Chinese which Paphitis loves very much. Did the British betray the Chinese by leaving Hong Kong?

Simple answer is YES! Friggin Britain did the dirty on the Chinese - poor buggers!

So now it's time to show solidarity with the Chinese, not the "Chy-nese"!

Britain leased HK from the Chinese for 99 years in 1898. When the lease ran out they gave it back. I'm not sure how that's a betrayal. :?

Since when was that a problem for the British? The British leased Cyprus from the Turks, and then gave Turkey the middle finger.

Why not do the same with Hong Kong to protect the Chinese from the "Chy-nese"? :?

The Ottoman thing was probably something to do with being on different sides in a World War. Dunno. It all happened over 100 years ago.

As far as HK’s concerned, in 1997 relations were probably about as friendly as they’re likely to get with the Chinese. Plus.............. look at a map.

It seems though, you’re damned if you do and your’re damned if you don’t.

Since were talking Chinese and about China .. I once asked a sexy Chinese prostitute what the word for Greece is in Chinese she looked up and said “ chEllas”. ... wow I said that sounds the same as Ellas.. she stopped again looked up and asked what’s Ellas .. I replied, continue and listen, Ellas is the way Greeks describe their country, Ellas.. while she continued I placed my Budweiser on top of her head, and thought deeply that the reason the Chinese call us Ellas is because we must have come together in ancient times... wow I thought to myself what a discovery ... then I thought to ask her ...”what do you people call Cypriots?” she again paused her work looked up, spilling my damn beer, and replied cheGaros..

Yes it was. Britain told Turkeys "phuck you! You chose the wrong side in the Great War and now Cyprus is ours"!

But they should have done something similar with Hong Kong and then eventually turn around to the Hong Kongers and give them their independence. The Chinese in Hong Kong would have been grateful.

The Chinese right now don't know if they are coming or going and hitting their heads against a brick wall. They are not happy with Chy-na, despite being the same race of people. If you ask them, they would want to be under British control than under Chy-na.

I am sorry, Paphitis, for some reason I can not longer see your posts and what you are raving about. I must admit though, that my life felt a whole lot better since that started to happen

By the way - do you know what the difference between an Australian and a yoghurt is?

(because i will never see your answer, that wouldn't be a simple Yes of No, rather a long lecture on how awful the Chinese are, wrecking the yogurt industry, I'll put the answer here):
If you leave the yoghurt out in the sun long enough, it will develop a culture!
