Funny bit of trickery.

I thinking of doing a beard shot. We will see.

But I got some wonderful shots of the best sunsets, some cloud surfing at 450 knots, approached into Sydney, cockpits, and approaches during the bushfires if people are interested.

Bushfires were interesting. We would be at CAVOK at 3000 Ft, enter the smoke and not see the runway till the last 200 Ft and all we could see were the approach lights. Hair raising.

This one we were at 10000Ft in a holding pattern. We were just on the outer edge of a massive cell after we were cleared to descend to 10000 and enter the holding pattern. We were all getting stacked as Brisbane and Gold Coast were getting smashed by massive cells. So we had to wait it out. Eventually, we got low on fuel and had to divert to the Gold Coast after the cells moved further north. We were suppose to land in Brisbane.

Got hundreds of photos of people want to see. Not going to post hundreds but I can post some good ones or a selection.

If I remember correctly, I think it was the same day we nearly had a lightning strike. Just after sunset there was a massive bolt that lit us up like a Christmas tree. How we were not hit amazed me.

Another time, we depart Brisbane for Coffs, then Sydney. Storms all the way. Just regular lightning bursts. Weather radar on looking for the big cells and we were just going round them like a set of cones. We were well iced up too. Visual at 550 ft into Coffs Harbour.

Some of the cells are strong enough to tip us a new one, like Air France. We were in yellow areas often trying to avoid the red ones.

I got lots where that came from. 90% of the time it’s all blue skies everywhere but every now and then we see Nature’s fury and have to earn our money.

I must say, I like blue skies as I’m lazy but seen some amazing stuff. Got good sunsets and sunrises too. The best I’ve ever seen.

I’ve got videos of cloud surfing. Every now and then we are cleared to climb to a particular level and have to level out because of traffic above us and it just so happens we are on top (of cloud) by a feed 10s of feet and we accelerate to get better climb performance for our impending climb to cruise. We are hooking along at well over 400 knots and up to 550 with a tailwind. With the cloud underneath it’s an amazing sight. Got a video of that one and plenty of photos.

In the video, you can hear us talking shit and carrying on like it was Christmas.

I swear but if one day they have to get the Cockpit Voice Recorder out, we are cactus.

Exactly!

And it wouldn't matter then unless you survived.

Does the CVR not have a limited recording capacity before it records over again?
