Some of you might not be able to see it, or are looking in the wrong places.

But the EU is a major global super power.

It is true, as a union, they have struggled to reach consensus on various issues but it has also reached consensus on lots of things.

this is not the only criteria to measure how shite or not the EU is or isnt.

Russia will not attack Cyprus, and neither will the US.

Cyprus has nothing to worry about, she is an unsinkable aircraft carrier with relations that are better than ever with both of them.

The EU doesn’t even have a Military and even if it did, they will need to vote even when they are invaded on whether to defend themselves or not.

France is a superpower elect. Along with the US, they can put Erdowan in chains overnight and turn him into a puddy cat and have him litter trained in no time.

This is a misconception that does the rounds. The Turks in particular have held this misconception for a long time, thinking that they are the defenders of Europe. Which has lead them to miscalculate their steps in the eastern med.

The EU is made up of 27 countries and 12 of them are in the top 50 in terms of global fire power ranking.

No vote was needed for France and Greece to demonstrate that the EU is willing to defend itself and its interests when needed.

Of course Greece must act. It’s Greece that is under threat.

And France is acting unilaterally in support of Greece, not as an EU state.

For far too long, the EU has been hesitant to do anything other than appease Turkey, they still do it, by giving Erdowan money.

And for far too long, even Greece has been trying to appease Turkey. Hopefully, after 40 years, they have come to the understanding that appeasing a criminal rogue state like Turkey does nothing other than embolden their criminal behaviour against international law.

France never asked for EU approval to do what it is doing and probably would never get it if it did ask. So, don’t ask and ask for forgiveness later or tell the EU to buzz off.

But the military power is there. It might not have an EU badge and coat of arms but it is there.

The EU has lived in a peaceful bubble created among themselves for several decades and they have gone soft.

Erdogan will toughen them up and snap them out of it.

Max, if you want Military power, then it’s all about NATO.

The EU has no military power of its own accord under its jurisdiction.

Your peaceful bubble was created by NATO, not the EU. It’s always NATO that has been Europe’s major deterrence and NATO was specifically invented with this purpose alone.

There is also much greater unity in NATO than in the EU which keep claiming they are a unified block of nations yet 8 have vetoed sanctions against Turkey. Sanctions is the only weapon the EU has d they have been reluctant to use it.

In the 60 years of Republic Of Cyprus...
These images are unprecedented, and it's gonna get better.
Kissinger will die with a frown of deep regret and rot in the depths of hell. ( I'm glad he's still alive to witness it)

Here's two more "unprecidented" images to add to your collection for all their worth...
