Good. Maybe it's a good thing.
Maybe they should be praying to the ' lizard guard of Uluru.'

They are not referring to it as their cheese.

Australua does however produce a lot of Halloumi and I order a lot of the Australian product as it’s superior and better quality.

Farming practices and the Dairy I dusted here is very big.

The producers here seem to think they are allowed to use the name as it’s effectively the same cheese. Well in my opinion it’s a lot more tasty and better quality.

Restaurants and hoteliers seem to agree.

We were at a silver service Greek Restaurant which used Australian Halloumi - fresher and tastier was the reason for their preference.

One of the biggest producers of Halloumi in Australia is an Italian owned business here that makes literally hundreds of cheeses of various varieties, including feta.

I get my Halloumi and Feta from him because it’s friggin dam good.

The day you guys compete with the Australian Dairy industry, the sun will freeze over.

They are a multi billion dollar industry and can pulverise your asses in the courts.

Worth more than the entire Cyprus GDP in fact.

You guys should try some.

Yeh go ahead and have a fight with The Australian Farmers Federation.

They have so much clout in Government atm, they will ban all Cypriot imports.

Oh and those few millions of Euros will hurt your farmers but not vice versa.

Pome the bear boys!

We have just had a trade war with Chy-na and we seem to be booming more than we ever have in the last 30 years with GDP growth now at 5%. So if you think a trade war with Cyprus will even make the papers you got an other thing coming.

Put it this way. The way gastronomy is in Australia, we are so blessed to have the finest quality foods and cuisine from all over the world.

Saturday night, was my wife’s birthday and we had a $300 dollar bottle of Grenache wine produced in the Barossa Valley with our Australian produced Halloumi in a wig boy Greek Restaurant.

I bought my wine which I carefully selected because my wife deserves the best.

They won’t.

They’ll just ban Cypriot halloumi and see to the Australian market and export to North America and Asian countries.

They’re not gonna pay fuck all.

Everyone I know just buys Australia Halloumi here. Been there and done with buying salty and bitter Cypriot Imported halloumi covered in preservatives.

The EU has no jurisdictional power here. None!
