This could have been a good topic for discussion.
Depends how you define "civilisation". If you are only interested whether there were other civilisations before the Greek/Roman one, the answer is yes.
I would say as old as 10,000 years BC.

My main interest though is not whether there were civilisations at say 10K years BC, but a)whether the development of human species was really a continuum b)Who destroyed those civilisations and c) why the top technology of earlier civilisations did not pass on to the next civilisation.
The last 2 known Civilisations that got destroyed were the Egyptian and the Atlantis.
Ever since no other civilisation was destroyed.

The idea is not to define civilisation or who. but when and what is the first sign of civilisation. I am interested in a simple things that shows these people had civilsation.

It really is meant to be serious. Surely you can have a look at something and say, this is the begining of civilisation.

It reminds me of Ghandi when he was aksed what he thought of British Civilisation. His answere was very meaningful. Sometimes what we see as civilisation is the worst barbarism you can imagine.

You cant discuss the topic of civilisation without studying and talking about the Greeks.

Many historians argue that the Greek civilization had the greatest impact on world history.

Its too much to stomach for some people. So they try to steer the discussion "way back, before the Greeks".

I never said it was.

but you tried to steer the conversation to times before Greek civilization and then made references to dummies and mouths.

You are doing it again, you are trying to steer the conversation away from Greek civilisation, but it has its place in this topic.

Where did I mention Greek coins ffs. Where as Ghandi and what he said about British Civilisation is very relevant.

Assuming you do know what he said as an answer.

You mentioned Greek coins on the second page.

So how is what Ghandi said about the British less than 100 years ago relevant to the first signs of civilisation and what that may have been?

why are you talking about this stuff?
