You could argue he lost this slam by missing only two shots ;-)

Which supports the argument that "No truly great tennis player would ever serve a double fault."

With his net worth, I suspect it is just loose change. But never the less, why he could not get certification to say he is vaccinated is beyond belief. How much would it have cost him?

Down to 1971 ( my ...birth year ? :D ) cases on Saturday with positive % 2.6. The downturn is beginning. In the meantime Greece will commence fining the over 65s who haven't received at least one vaccine. Not long before Cyprus follows suit. I have an exception due to medical reasons so.although Not that ...old  I'm safe !!

"The continued drop in UK Covid cases suggests the omicron wave could be turning around, a leading epidemiologist said.

Epidemiologist Prof Mike Tildesley from the University of Warwick, an adviser to the UK government, said he would be "pretty confident" that the omicron wave was turning around if cases continue to fall over the next two weeks.

"It's cautiously good news. It does look like across the whole of the country cases do seem to be falling," he told BBC Breakfast on Monday."

Unless it mutates to something which can overpower the vaccination and we are back to aquare one. Unless the whole world is vaccinated and we have controls to check it does not come back in, it may yet come back to haunt us.

Capitalism ainit? Rcih countries took al lthe vaccines andd lef the poor with ugger all.

New mutations does not happen in other animals. It happens in the human population.

Novak Djokovic out of Australian Open for 2 missed shots? Good riddance! Serves him right | Opinion

Greg Cote
Mon, January 17, 2022, 10:36 PM

The year’s first tennis major, the Australian Open, is underway in Melbourne. The world’s best tennis player, defending champion Novak Djokovic, isn’t in it. He very much wanted to be. He’s healthy. But they kicked him out against his will. Deported him, in fact.

Good riddance.

Enjoy your stay in the 19th Century, Novak, when science and medicine were not yet reliable things. Enjoy the pointless crusade of yours and others like you, a crusade one might call Quixotic. It qualifies as that for the impracticality, though clearly not for the idealism, or for any shred of nobility.
