But what a coincidence that Iran was “drawn” in a group comprised of England, the US and Wales! :?

For those who did tertiary level maths, the probability of an all Anglo-American opposition is absolutely staggering!

Imagine Iran suffering three consecutive defeats at the hands of Anglo-Americans… wouldn’t that enrage Iranian citizens further and fuel further violence in Tehran?

At least that *was* the plan, I suspect...

FIFA’s corruption is world renowned...

Which I suspect, played right into the hands of super-corrupt Anglo-American politics!

FIFA corruption is so widely known as to be a standing joke but................I'm not going there. You see conspiracies everywhere. It just spoils the real ones.

FWIW. I thought the Iranians played a blinder of a game and fully deserved their win. Not only that but they've taken a very brave - and I imagine quite risky - stand on what's happening in their country right now. The Ayatollah is not a very forgiving man. Contrasted with Kane, the English Captain, taking a so-called stand on homosexual bollocks and then slinking off at the first hint of retribution. Pathetic. Shameful actually.

I'm not sure though why pre-match comments by the Welsh Captain, including “I hope they do. It’s a historical moment in Wales, for us to be at a World Cup." are supposedly contemptuous. As is so often the case, Lordo takes an out of context mole hill and makes a mountain to conform to his agenda, because he simply doesn't tend to read and understand the things he posts. How that in some way "fully explains the western mentality" is total bollocks. Not a novel event of course.

Further to this conspiracy theory...

The West’s media had made a meal out of the Iranian team “not singing” their national anthem in their first match against England, and then Bale comes up with that suspicious suggestion of “mini history” being made that Welsh children should not miss!

I’ve also read some other weird anti-Iranian comments in the media the past week and it’s all coming together now in my head.

But the overconfident Welsh couldn’t deliver and the “plan” seems to have backfired!

It may well pan out the same when Iran confronts the overconfident US team next week.

Only England had a “secure” win in the bag due to their expected superior quality in football, while the other two overestimated themselves while underestimating Iran.

Having watched them all, on paper I expect Iran to beat the US next week and advance to the final 16.

This world cup may well have been a “make or break” for the Iranian government had they sustained three consecutive losses from their arch enemies, but today’s win means that young Iranian males will be glued to their TV sets instead of being out on the streets burning tires and throwing stones!

I truly wish them the best of luck and not for any nefarious reason.

It's early days I know but from what I've seen so far, for me ............................. it's gotta be Brazil.

Now - that would be a real shocker!
