It should actually end up 0-3 if the first goal was not cancelled.
The commentator said it was a "semi-automatic offside" and explained that the 2 Morocians were "obstructing the vision of the goal keeper".
Is there really such a rule??? :o

Yes, there is.

In general, players may stand between the goalkeeper and the ball to block their vision.

However, there are two key instances where this would be illegal. If a player is standing in an offside position when the ball is played by a teammate, they may not block the goalkeeper's (or for that matter any other opponent's) line of sight to the ball.

Great reult from our young inexperienced team. This new Australian Squad is very young and the average caps is under 20 I think. Most of the squad is less than 10 caps, but most of them are already in major Euro Leagues like Germany, Belgium, British, Scottish, French, Dutch and Turkish First Divisions.

And great results coming from my adopted USA.

Hasn't the Iranian National Team been inspirational though bitches. What they have done was incredibly brave and they should be applauded and revered the world over. So good to see such humanism and leventia from the Iranian Footy Team.

Death game against Denmark next week. By the way, for me this autralian team is not so good as the 2006 and 2010 World Cups.

Definitely not as good as the 2010 team or the golden era for the 2000s.

Those teams were star studded with 5 to 6 high end stars playing week in and week out for major European teams. Sone of these players were worth 20 to 30 million. Players like Harry Kewell, Okon, Zelig et al.

This team is pretty much just building with mostly young blood. Very inexperienced.

But they have a great team manager in Graham Arnold. That makes them very dangerous. But most of the players are from the English premier and Scottish Premier leagues. It’s not a style of football I like. A lot of long balls and aerial footy but they are very fast on the breaks especially on the wings with overlapping full backs.

They can beat Denmark.

This team won’t mature for another 4 to 6 years.

Australian teams always however give the worlds best a good run. Doesn’t matter who they are, whether Spain, England or even Brazil.

To put it in context though, Australian Footy is much stronger as Cypriot or Greek Football. Reason is even this young squad are playing at some pretty big Euro clubs already.

I asked a sports journalist today, he said the "semi-automatic offside" term is used when the VAR kicks in recording at top speed.
He also said that not all offside offenses are punished no matter how clear they are. The player in question must be in "active play" meaning at such a position to influence the development of the game.E.g. if a player at an offside position at the corner, never touches the ball, and his team scores a goal, that goal counts. In the case of Morocco there was one at offside position, and another next to him, hust a few meters in front of the goal keeper, none of which even touched the ball, however they were considered to be in "active play" by obstructing the vision of the goal keeper.

Basically "obstructing the vision" is just one of the million reasons as to why it's an offense for a player be close to the goal post AND at an offside position.
Simply put the commentator just wanted to make things complicated.

An offside player blocking the view of the keeper from seeing the ball as it is about to be kicked is regarded as active, hence offside. However, the decisions given depends on how much money the referee has received from whom and why. Gambling cartels are awash with money and regularly control the result by buying the referee. Add to that the prejudice of the referee and you begin to understand why we have such crazy decisions. Also have a look at how some players obstruct the keeper and there is no punishment. Unfortunately, football has stopped being a sport a very long time ago. I would go as far back as Sky bought the rights to show the games and flooded the top level with money so they could control it.

My interest in football ceased a long time ago for the exact same reasons.

Interesting question. What is life?

Shall we make it look like we are living in adverts.

Enjoy.
