Sorry but Texas is a better place to live in than Cyprus overall and offers many advantages of some great urban and rural living opportunities and has plenty of its own very American culture and European influences in the cities.

Very small government though with little interference with its citizenry, zero income tax from State Government, yes that's right, 0 tax. And for some strange reason, it's legal to carry a gun in public although you won't see people carry them. But you can as long as it is not concealed. But if you do, you may attract the attention of police and this is why people get shot by police. The police are not legally allowed to target people carrying guns as long as they are concealed but they do anyway, because there really isn't a good or valid reason for anyone to carry a gun and thankfully, 99% of people have the common sense not to carry one.

Sorry, but other than guns, Texas is a very nice place. And I would prefer Texas than Cyprus any day.

Already done that before I even considered moving.

And the reason why is because the US has arguably the greatest aviation industry on the planet with the best infrastructure and Air Traffic Management on the planet as 99% of our flying is all ILS to ILS, highly automated and with radar procedures throughout apart from a couple of isolated spots in Alaska, and en-route to Hawaii which is a domestic flight. And it has the largest companies. Living in New York is extremely exciting actually and every person in the world needs to come to America at least once and visit New York among other places.

It wasn't about money but the opportunity and also the prospect of living in New York, Chicago, Washington or Denver. And also getting a Green Cards for the kids (which they will have and eventually will become citizens as well) and to give them the international experiences of attending school in America, making friends in America and possibly getting a high end US College Tertiary education.

Not only that, but the corporate culture in these airlines is second to none. It is a very good and positive work environment. And the safety is world class and world leading.

Secondly, America doesn't steal money and doesn't have to to steal money. They are the biggest aid givers on the planet as a matter of fact, by far. And Cyprus has been the beneficiary of American Money and aid many times as well.
