I think id like to read a bit more on Cyprus History and also the 1974 invasion
does anyone recommend any english books on the topic??

Brendan O'Malley, Ian Craig this one is easy to read

Those are about recent history. We have 9000 years of history here. For which parts you are interested?

usually anastasiac, places like ours dont history, but histories...
as a concequence, in order to come closer to understanding what happened, you should imo, read a book from both perspectives.
it is not that these books usually lie...its just the usually forget half of the story :wink:

hope thats not to much work

True and I agree... I read books from both sites... and the outercome??? Both sites did the same silly mistakes!
