Why is W Europe spending a fortune on supposedly defending the sovereignty of Ukraine when it's clearly - at just about all levels of ruling government (most particularly with the dictatorial Eurocrats in Brussels) - a matter of policy to give their own countries sovereignty away?

The “defending the sovereignty of Ukraine” is just a ruse. Their goal is to weaken, defeat and subjugate Russia because it is considered too powerful, unyielding to Western influence/ways, and out of control!

In a nutshell Russia ruins the Zionist agenda.

Sorry, despite my previous, I can't see how providing weapons to Ukraine - after the Russian invasion (your word - for which you could get a prison sentence there - "Special military operation" ) would "weaken, defeat and subjugate Russia". That's paranoia.

Russia has 4000 nukes and a million+ strong army. Not to mention millions more potential reservists. It was never in danger of being invaded and Ukraine was never going to be admitted to NATO, as long as Germany and France were sucking on the Russian energy and business teats.

As far as Mr Assad goes. He was the 3rd generation nepotistic dictator of Syria, who killed a quarter million of his own people - some with chemical weapons - and drove countless millions to flee the country. May he rot in his bolthole. Note: unlike Gaza this is never referred to as "Genocide". At the time, and in the relevant thread, when confronted with the figure RH suggested that it was the only way to get rid of "embedded terrorists". The hypocrisy wrt Syria and places like Gaza is pretty breathtaking but seems standard fare around here TBH.

Well that’s what the shortsighted Biden regime and his cronies (Brown, Macron, Sholtz, etc) thought they could achieve with their multi-pronged attack on Russia (Militarily, economically, socially, etc)

So yeah, you could say that they were and many in the West still are… paranoid!

NATO membership for the Ukraine was definitely on the table… in fact NATO had already set up shop there and taken over the Ukrainian military in preparation for this confrontation with Russia.

Add to that the toppling of the Russia-friendly Ukrainian government to a pro-Western man, as well as the civil war against the Russian speaking Ukrainians of the east that cost the lives of 17K… and you have a multitude of serious reasons for war.
