Retired2cyprus, how will you feel if you were kicked out of your nice home and not be allowed to return ? then see some greedy british people buy your land from the people who kicked you out ?
Send me your details if you want to meet. But you know whats wrong is wrong and whats right is right, you and thoose other british crooks are on borrowed time.
The greeks will get there land back sooner or later and you know it.

Shut it Lysi, if all the english ex pats north of the border needed to defend their newly built palatial mansions come the solution, they could keep you bubbles at bay with a pea shooter and half a gramme of gunpowder.

You're talking to the number one warrior race on the planet. The Brits, you may care to learn, happened to own one third of the planet in its prime. Not just a puny rock near Syria.

Lysi, please stop talking out of your poohole. Your threats mean nothing and we all know it. You are chickens by nature, when the Turks arrived you only used the reverse gear of your tanks, you were running like headless chickens.

But just a few days before you were all tough guys, tough on defenceless man, women and children. NOW SHUT UP WITH THE THREATS TO OUR CITIZENS.

There are not many people who can share the experiences of which you have went through and the mounting frustration which you have. Rather than take it out on other members perhaps you should take it out on the politicians who are voted in and you entrust to solve the problems on Cyprus. Even you must not be blinded into believing that you will ever get your lands back. As more time goes on the less likely any lands will ever be returned to the pre 1974 status. There was an article about it in Sundays Cyprus Mail about how the ROC government has lied to refugees when they have been re housed about the status of the lands they have been rehoused in.

Retired to Cyprus

I seem to remember that it was just 2 WW's that the UK and its allies won there is no mention of any world cup for the Allies i cant recall an Allied football team unless it was in that movie "Escape to Victory".

Hi

I posted some of this before about the Brits, but I think its relevant here. The British are not only by nature a warlike race but they have managed to institutionalise it into a way of life. Britain can punch above its weight because its armed forces are small but highly effective, mostly due to its unconscripted recruits citing their more favourite pastime as getting into a well organised punch up as part of their recreational weekend entertainment. As the Duke of Wellington remarked as he looked at the motley British regiments strung across the hillside at Waterloo, " They may not scare the French, but by God, they scare me!"

Blair is here today, gone tomorrow. The next PM will pick a fight somewhere to keep our forces up to speed, its a Brit thing, soldiers kept locked up in barracks or busy on rep[ressing civilian populations for dictators are crap at fighting, thats the secret. OK you have to police N. Ireland but then send them off to Liberia, Iraq any where there's combat, if there isn't a conflict, make one always keep a fight going somewhere, best training ever!

That's how the British forces are kept up to speed by this process, small professional army, airforce and navy, you can punch over your weight. The Yanks are crap because although they have great equipment, they rely on it too much and supplement their forces with reserves and National Guard, equivalent to conscripts. My mate was in Iraq, he said when the Iraqis flew over, the coalition forces dived for shelter, when the Brits flew over the Iraqis dived for shelter, when the Yanks flew over, everybody dived for shelter!
