Well the point isnt to have the law. Its to enforce it. I dont think a very good job is being done. When my family came over last christmas they were very amazed my daughter was just sitting down and actually buckling herself. They even said that a lot of people still hold infants in their arms in the car like it used to be about 6 years ago when I was still there. Holding your kid in your arms doesnt really protect it if there is an accident. you will probably lose it and it will be the first thing to hit the windshield. I mean even if you hate follwoing laws and such and dont want to strap yourself in, is it worth the life of your child? I think its child endangerment. There is nothing wrong with a kid sitting down being good and wearing her/his seatbelt in the car. The ride is still enjoyable to them if you teach them it is a must and they dont know different. 8)

Having the child on your lap is no better, they become your air bag, at 60km crushing them against the dash. :x

Its usually the people on the receiving side of the stupid driver that gets hurt the most.

I do not like few things cypriot drivers do.

The most dangerous thing is when driver get his car too close to another car on highway. The normal destination between cars should be 20-30 meters, but these drivers make it 1-2 meters. :x I'll never understand this.

After visiting Syria for work I will never complain about lane discipline in Cyprus or Greece.
They are maniacs I spend every car journey on tender hooks.

Why are you compare Cyprus drivers with other drivers? If Greek drivers worse, it doesn't mean Cyprus drivers are not dangerous. ;)

people will continue to drive like stupid idiots, obviously death is not an issue and they are willing to pay the price for sake of getting somewhere a little bit earlier. people have been driving like this for too long and I doubt if it will change!!!!!

this is a real pet hate of mine, it really annoys me!!!!!!!!!!!!
