US military action against Iran

Feel free to talk about anything that you want.

If such a war is undertaken then means that USA has to proceed also to other regions who also possess such nuclear weapons! Lets not forget that USA was the first to use the Atomic bomb in Japan that had resulted in severe damage in Japan.

Many things changed since then but this can not be overlooked!

US military action against Iran

Postby Dylan Howell » Sun Apr 23, 2006 9:50 pm

Even America with all it's wealth and military muscle cannot afford a war with Iran. It's costing them too much already in Afghanistan and Iraq. The American public will not support another war so soon. Not when young soldiers are coming back in wooden boxes every day already from the two conflicts they are already embroiled in.

What the US will do (this time) is to make sure the UN is 100% behind a resolution to ban Iran from producing enriched Uranium and then it will try to get the rest of the world to start a trade embargo with Iran until in complies with the UN resolutions. That's the best the US can do or hope for.

Whether it will work is anyones guess.

It might help ease the tension in the area if Israel pulls out completely from the West Bank and the Gaza Strip. It's about time they put their differences apart and started to get on with one another. :argue: This conflict has been going on since Biblical times. You'd think they would of had enough by now. Where's all this "Love Thy Neighbour" stuff they keep preaching?????

Such regimes if allowed will spread their venom far beyond their own boundaries , remember the 8 year war with Irag.Talking about Irag , when will the CY BC stop refering to the insergents as ANTARTES. For gods sake , even the dustment in Baghdad are not safe while the "heroic antartes " are around. They are nothing more than a bunch of bloody murderers , fanatics bloodthirsty bastards.

oh dear, another one whos fallen for the Bush propaganda bullshit

i'll tell you 1 thing...if there was no oil in the middle east then the USA wouldnt give a shit about what goes on there

I certainly will not feel comfortable in the knowledge that fanatical, dictatorial regimes have nukes. Someone has to do the dirty work and Russia along with China should start behaving more responsible and stop supplying know how along with enriched uranium to these people.

The silliest thing I heard is "why should Israel have nukes and Iran not"? This, when it comes from the Greeks or Cypriots, sounds really pathetic. If we do not like the west and what it stands for, we should get out of the EU and NATO. It is difficult to get into these institutions but it is dead easy to get out. We can so easily switch alliances and move in with Bin Laden or any one of the fanatics that want to ruin this world. But, to remain steadfast with the west and to critisise their actions is totally pathetic and irresponsible.

I suppose 9/11 was Bush propaganda !Let me tell you my friend. Wether you like it or not we need the US to help us establish a peaceful , liberal enviroment not only in Cyprus but in all of the free world. This is a confrontation between , not only the US but all of the free world , against an evil regime whose president has stated on more that one occasion that he is commited to wiping out onother nation. As far as the oil issue is concerned I bet you are happy every time you find a petrol station open so that you can fill up, and oil is not the issue here. You talk of Bush propaganda . Thats first class bullshit. Most people are against Bush so who are the propagantists.
Long live the Western world and long may the US continue to safeguard our freedoms that so many people lost their lives in the 2 world wars so that you and I can choose which party we vote for or whether we go to churchor not , beleive in God or not, dress as we like not as we are told.
