the BEACHES in Cyprus

Feel free to talk about anything that you want.

In that case I definitely agree with Andri !!!

Each year when we visit Limassol, we use Ladies Mile Beach. The colour of the sand is unimportant -- what appeals to us is that the beach is used by locals, we get peace and quiet, safety, tranquility, happiness -- oh yes, and a complete absence of any other beer-swilling, obnoxious, rude, British holidaymakers or Timeshare sellers !!

See you in July, Captain's Cabin ! :)

The best beach i have seen in Cyprus is Fig Tree Bay, all the ones in Larnaka are horrible, even the big players like Palm Beach hotel ad Golden Bay hotel have horrible beaches.

Cyprus now concentrates more on bitches than beaches.

Said it before, will say it again.

The CTO still thinks it can entice the tourists in with a stick of souvlaki and a crappy beach.

Wake up and spend some money of a proper tourist industry. Enough golf courses, enough tavernas, how about a few theme parks.

You can go to the Caribbean for the same price as a week in Cyprus.

Indeed twinkle... still I totally disagree that the beaches shoulde be altered by removing rocks, changing sand (due to the colour).... This changes the whole idea of having a totally natural environment. Cyprus soil is not like Bahamas and the like... It was always rocky. Take Mykonos, Santorini and the like islands in Greece... Have they they anything? Nope, on the other hand they try to keep the beaches clean and the local authorities dont let both locals and visitors to destroy them by just throwing away rubish...
