If you want a meal at lunchtime, drive to Lara Bay and go to Viklari (the Last Castle). They are open 11 - 5 and do a great bbq lunch (chicken & pork with potatoes and a great village salad) all for CYP 5 a head. The drinks are reasonable too and you can't get a meal with a better view in my opinion.

Personally I really liked the Akiron (?) in bar street in Kato Paphos. A superb meat meze for only CY£7.95 each and KEO on draught. Greek dancing on a Mon, Wed, and Fri too.

Thanks again Svetlana.

Home now and managed to get to the Yaoulis Tavern at Coral Bay. On arrival I was told by the lovely and friendly lady what I could have. It turned out to be a mixed Meze and it was delicious. The Sea Bream was mouthwatering and the meal for 7 of us with ample supply of drinks came to £70 !! Will be going back there next time for sure. Also on my last night went to the Fish Tavern you suggested in Paphos. Got there at 7.15 pm and it was empty and wondered why ? Within an hour the place was full to bursting point mainly with local people ! WOW what a meal. I had the Fish Soup to start which was awesome then the Lobster Prawns with " Mamas " Special Garlic sauce !! God what a gastronomical orgasm I had !!! With numerous bottles of Chardanay to wash it down the meal came to £15 per head. Fantastic. Cant wait to go back ASAP and one day ......... forever.

Love to everyone.

Hi fiveyearplan

Glad you enjoyed the tavernas; Thymos is mostly used by locals and I bump into many Cypriot freinds there.

I will continue my gastronomic research!
