What a load--no pun intended. You are bringing the human man down one a level with animals and insects! This sexual blueprint you have invented is just an excuse to trivialize emotion and relationship. If males have only one role in the universe, then why are you everywhere trying to control every other aspect of people's lives? According to your logic, men are only good for sex. Therefore, women should be running the world. Right?

Cheating happens much too often and it is arguments like this that men use to justify it. You are still saying that a man's sexual blueprint takes over his common sense. I am saying that this is bull. A man who respect his partner, sexually happy with her and commited will not cheat because his common sense takes over knowing that if he does, he loses a lot for just for a quickie.

You contradict your own argument. You say men are here for only one purpose and that is to spread seed to make sure his genes are dispersed. You can't disperse genes without conception! And then you say that men don't always want to pass their genes on with every sex act!

OK, I'll give up with you. Are you a feminist by any chance, because you're reading the whole thing, as if you're one.?

You are very short-sighted. I am a feminist because I am not reading it the way you want me to? Why am I not surprised. So there must be something wrong with me rather than how you write or present it?

There's no contradiction. Males "sexual blue print" dictates for him to spread his genes. Once it is released, he has fulfilled his goal. What happens to the Genes once released, is no longer his concern, or anything he can do about it. It is out of his hands. Other wise, man would not masturbate, if he was concerned where the GENES went.!!

Can I please get the answer from you, whether you're a feminist or not.

:? No, Kikapu, I am not a feminist. I just do not believe in or agree with your view that men have this inherent need to just spread their seed. It is the "it's in our nature" argument that I hate. I think men sleep around for different reasons. I think most Cypriot men do it to prove their manliness and to satisfy some idea they have of power. Thinking that they will do what they damn well please because they are the man and no woman will tell them what they cannot do. But sleeping around brings heartache, risks of disease, and destroys trust. It shows a complete lack of concern and respect for the spouse.

As far as human males go, the attitude that it is not your concern with what happens to your genes once you spread them is shocking and it is not taking responsibility. If you get a woman pregnant you are partly responsible. If you get a disease you have a responsibility for that as well.

Most men would not tolerate infidelity in women. Why should women tolerate it?

Hi Tara,

Words of wisdom: No matter how overtly or covertly, all men think with their penis (and I'm not one who typically makes hasty generalizations). The sooner humankind, particularly womankind, comes to terms with this, the better off we'll be. I'm still struggling with it. ;)

Filitsa, are you saying that women just need to accept that men will cheat and they should learn to live with it?

Tara T,

Now you're arguing with me on a intellectual level about the behaviour of a man in this modern society, and everything you have said, I agree with you. I'm not talking about a mans' sexuality and responsibility in this modern world, I'm talking about the "Male Sexual Blue Print" in the animal Kingdom, which we belong to. The rest of the animal kingdom has more or less remained as they have for ever. We humans have changed in a big way, from where we were, unless you believe in "Adam & Eve" fairly tale story, but our sexuality have not changed at all, as far as passing on our GENES. Modern man, as smart as he is, still wants more than one partner (regardless whether he acts on it or not), knowing all the dangers, but still does it, and so do women. If nature did not intend for Human male to spread his Genes as often as possible, his body would not produce them in large quantities, instead, it would have been once a month, or even one week a year during "mating season".!! Please don't confuse actions of a man and the actions of the "Male Sexual Blue Print" which dictates his actions whether he likes it or not.

Absolutely not, Tara.

What I am saying simply is that men, each to one degree or another, think with their penis, and it behooves humankind (womankind in particular) to understand this premise when entering a relationship with a man, romantic or otherwise. Whether one wishes to accept it and all that it entails is a different story.
