The apparent solution that no one dares to accept

Postby axilleask » Sun Jan 21, 2007 11:04 am

I have been watching the Cyprus problem and the various attempts for a comprehensive solution since the 1977 agreement .

I think that all the solutions that have been proposed were rejected for one reason...

GREEKS and TURKS don't want to be together ! Greeks don't like Turks and vice versa ! They just don't dare to accept it in public.

The only solution that will solve the problem is a division in two indepedent countries.
It's time for all of us to accept that and begin negotiations towards that solution.
Any other solution won't work simply because Greeks and Turks can't cooperate simply because they have so little in common and so many differences

The only federations where orthodox and muslims were together are the ones from the soviet era and we all know what happened after.

Time to drops the masks people and start working towards this direction...

And since when the exact demand of Turkey against our human rights and our sovereignty became a "solution"? In the dreams of the Turks only my friend.

If the turks don't want to live with us then they can go from were they came. We didn't invite them to come to our island in the first place anyways. Gifting them our homeland of 3500 years is our of the question.

And why the hell would any Greek Cypriot even consider that? What would we gain from your "solution"?

Here is another "solution" of the same kind but reversed: All TCs move to Turkey. Problem solved

"HAHAHA"? You didn't say "HAHAHA" when you supported our ethnic cleansing as the "solution".

I don't have any such dream. What I hope for is for a truly united, independent and democratic Cyprus, not for ethnic cleansing of any of the communities. Thats your dream.

Nop. will not work, sorry. Until you accept legality and you stop trying to gain on our loss, you will keep crying about the "isolation" and Turkey will remain a 3rd world country.

HAHAHAH i think u will find tha we r pretty happy with our lives, its you who is bitching about your property, as far as i am concerned we have nothing to negotiate with you, unless ofcourse u come with a dazzling offer :)

on another thought, having Mc Donalds and 400 Starbucks surrounding my village sounds very interesting too, maybe we should join, so we can get a taste from the delights and wonders of capitalism hehehe lovely....
