apoel fans should pay for the damages that they did to karaiskaki stadium from their stupidity.

Watching the game on Turkish TV,we couldnt make out what the trouble was about...Apoel fanatics have no right to dynamite a sporting event between Greece & Turkey...They should pay the damage....What about the penalties Greek National side might get from UEFA??
All credit to Greek supporters for their response, they did the correct thing.
Following up to this game, many things were said & written in press declaring this game a security risk event but the Greek FA and officials did whatever was necessary to prove this wrong...Apoel fans nearly ruined all their good work...
After the game Turkish team manager Fatih Terim thanked EVERYONE in Greece for the hospitality they received form the minute they landed in Athens and said they will be returning he same hospitality to the Greek team & supporters in Turkey....(I hope Apoel fans are not planning a trip to the return game)

I find it hard to believe that Cypriot fans were the only ones that were throwing flairs etc on the pitch because they were falling from various directions.

Anyway, I'd like to take this opportunity to give credit to Slovakia and Turkey for being the undisputed better teams of the evening.

Regards, GR.

firstly the grrek team is overstimated for commercial reasons, the reall greek teams are in b-ball, water polo, baseball, volley, sailing, athletics and so many sports understimated from the soccer mafia.

what happened? apoel fans along with some neonazis tried to open some flags. Greek F.A. has said that it would not tolerate any flags with political messages. security boys (members of olimpiakos) saw them and told them to bring them down, they did not hear them and then olimpiakos fans who were around them started beating them. after the game they called some other olimpiacos fans from pireus that is nearby the stadium and they took care of the apoel funs and of the neonazis.

No doubt Slovakia and Turkey won fairly and squarely. But Slovakia did so against a 10 man Cyprus team, that until Morfis was sent off were the slightly better side. I was impressed with S. Aloneftis who to my opinion could play almost anywhere in Europe.

I heard it was shown on MyVision but I only had LTV here :(
So I guess had we not lost a man or better still had we had our two suspended strikers playing what do you think the score would've been?

I know I'm starting to fantasize now but it's all I've got left! :(

Well, i was there, i always am when Cyprus play regardless to who else is on TV. Yes, despite their 2 star players missing, i believe Cyprus could have beaten Slovakia on the night.
