All these data are very interesting but we have seen that one can use these to prove anything they like.
We have had research on Thallasaemics proving GC and TCs are similar to each other, other researchers proving dissimiarieties etc. Peoples have migrated, conquered, peoples have moved incessantly accross continents and borders, what does it matter what haplogroup we come from. Even Piratis says 'so what'. Even a bigger 'so what' from me. Lets look forward to sorting the mess out. Good fun reaing all these though.

why you people spent so much gray matter for descendants and DNA samples :)
why not take the simple way and say WE ARE CYPRIOTS .

You can take this crap and prove anything you like. . Many of today's Greeks are descendants of previous habitats of Cyprus. Many Catholics became Orthodox and many became moslem; in turn they were all called Greeks and Turks and then GCs and TCs. There are very very few Pure Greeks or even less pure Turks.

Ethnicity has nothing to do with genes and DNA. There are black people calling themselves English, and Caucasian people calling themselves Turks. It really could not be any more obvious that ethnicity/nationality does not depend on DNA, and we don't need DNA analysis to see this.

Foreign imperialists have no right to tell us what our ethnicity and identity should be, neither they should tell us what we should do with our own island. As long as the human rights of all Cypriots are respected, the people of this island should be free to democratically take decisions for their own island. Anything beyond that is just lame excuses invented by the imperialists to restrict our freedom and serve their own interests on our expense.
