It’s further evidence that the notion of a Mycenaean colonization of Cyprus was physically impossible.

What is physically impossible is for your IQ to rise above 80.

You're being optimistic if you think GR can get to 80. :? Remember GR thought my iPad was running on windows.

It's not about setting people up GR. Don't worry, I won't make you say it. 8)

On another note, I bet you cracked a stiffy every time you stood to attention, whilst the Greek national anthem played, back in the day of your national service.

I only stood to attention once during the graduation day of basic training or the “swearing in” day, as they call it. At no other time was the national anthem played throughout my (extended) 3 year service.

CASE #1: The year is 2015AD and hundreds of refugees are drowning trying to cross a mere 12 kilometers from the nearest Turkish shores to the Greek island Farmakonisi using 21st century boats and wearing life jackets.

CASE 2#: The year is circa 1200BC and archaic Mycenaean boats are allegedly sailing with ores (a 750km perfect straight line from Crete) to settle on Cyprus!

Probability of success: 0%

Are all Ozies as stupid as you?

Case closed!

On May 17, 1970, Norwegian ethnologist Thor Heyerdahl and a multinational crew set out from Morocco across the Atlantic Ocean in Ra II, a papyrus sailing craft modeled after ancient Egyptian sailing vessels. Heyerdahl was attempting to prove his theory that Mediterranean civilizations sailed to America in ancient times and exchanged cultures with the people of Central and South America. The Ra II crossed the 4,000 miles of ocean to Barbados in 57 days.

Only problem being that the refugees dying every day are for REAL and not a multinational attempt with a camera crew to make a Robinson Crusoe documentary!

GR you obviously know FUCK ALL about sailing.

Every day thousands of people sail across oceans in small craft. A lone boy of 16 circumnavigated the globe in 25 foot sailboat, alone, managing to come through unscathed in an Indian ocean hurricane.

Our own Kikapu owns a sailboat which he has sailed across oceans with one crew member I believe, he will tell us the details I guess.

The Kyrenia replica which is now moored in Limassol Marina sailed from Greece to get there.

In your quest to bolster an untenable theory you go from blunder to blunder. Give it up mate.

"unwavering allegiance many GC's have to Greece, despite being short changed by them a number of times"

whereas Turkey always gives full change to the TCs. Cypriots are a funny lot.

Using what Captain Obvious? The latest technology luxury boats with plenty of supplies and GPS support?

Would they be able to do so in a 1200BC Mycenaean boat? Are any of them dumb enough to try even?
