However if all reserves (almost all Cypriots males between 20 and 60) had guns in their homes, it wouldn't be too easy to capture a city with 50.000 soldiers in it. (I, and many others do keep their weapons and ammunition at home, but not everybody).

A guerrilla war is what we should be preparing for. Buying tanks is going to be of little or no use..

Yes, these are bare minimums given by Papadopoulos in order to continue his claim that the RoC represents TCs. Did he ever take any steps in encouraging TCs to get involved in the decision-making in the RoC? No, because that's not what he wants. He wants TCs to return back to the RoC without the special privileges, justl like 1000 or so TCs living in the south right now.

So I get the bare minimums too I guess, since they didn't give me any special privileges either. Oh, and by the way, I also pay lots of taxes to get those "bare minimums", and those TCs get these "bare minimums" from my taxes also.

tcypriot, in this case you should have called me Achilles Einstein, or Plato Rambo etc. Achilles Rambo shows just my warrior side. Not fair!

Well, if that whore (your mother) didn't have sarcasm either, she would name her bastard son (tcypriot) "Son of the bitch".

So sarcasm is needed some times, cheer up.

The only reason i described these changes as radical is becuase nothing like this has ever happend!

I belive if something like what i described would happen it would create a new dynamic on the island on how we look at the problem.

For example, alot of the older GC's are more willing to forgive despite them having witnessed the carnage of the past. The new generation is more stubburn, but i'm sure this can easily be overcome if they have a chance to mingle with the new generation of TC's, once they see how human and normal everyone is there not gonna have a problem anymore. If anything, they'll probably start dating each other!

I believe the changes that i've described will most of all help integration and mixture of the two communities. This will reduce bitterness and promote understanding and compassion. It doesn't matter that the GC's can't return to home to the north while this is happening. The whole point of this is integrating the island, socialising with each other, living in peace and making the point to the TC's the ROC is there's too and they have the right to the benefits of the south should they choose to live there under the current situation.

Also, if such changes do happen and everybody can live and work with each other in peace. This will certainly help melt the problem as I'm sure everybody will say, "what's the problem?" lets tear that boarder down and unify the country.

Maybe this is wishful thinking on my part, im young and belive in the goodwill of the people and new generation. But in reality, i know the politicans wouldn't dream of doing anything like this! Which is kind of sad, instead they play their tic for tac games.

Hhmmm, i wonder out of interest, if i was older and wiser, would there be any TC's who would form a party with me in the ROC to run for office and make these changes? Or would we just get shot?
