Here’s the “demilitarization” program Cyprus REALLY needs…

1. Military spending should be doubled if not tripled.

2. The National Guard service should be increased to three years.

3. Mandatory military service for ALL PERMANENT CITIZENS of the RoC regardless of ethnic background.

4. Mandatory military service introduced for all women in non-combat clerical/admin roles to free up the men.

5. Commence a Short and Mid-range missile technology program with French assistance.

6. Explore the possibility of hiring special professional military forces to assist if and as required.

7. Further enhance Cyprus’ military alliance with France and other friendly countries.
