Halil, you are slipping. You should have missed the first 'off-side' goal, not the third one.

UEFA supports Dutch goal decision

UEFA has emphasised that the goal scored by Netherlands striker Ruud van Nistelrooy in last night's UEFA EURO 2008™ match against Italy in Berne was valid, and that referee Peter Fröjdfeldt acted correctly in awarding the goal.
God help us.

Thank you CanDiaz for you response

 Even, now, I wish it were there so we could see where the referee was right. Right?

unless you have permission from the referee to be off the pitch, you are deemed to be on it and deemed to be part of the game. That is why the Italian defender, even though his momentum had taken him off the pitch, was still deemed to be part of the game, and therefore the attacking player put the ball into the net, and it was a valid goal. The law in this place was applied absolutely correctly.

I missed that. Thats the problem having a 42" Flat screen TV. So damn big you cant see one end to the other. Come back 23" CRT.

The turf looks good though.

I am going to predict a 2-1 upset of Spain by Russia today. Spain seems to have meltdowns in tournaments.

Not too much offence intended to the grecophiles of the forum but I do hear that some say lightning never strikes twice in the same place.

I would have supported France but Djorkaeff, Bedrosian and company no longer play for France. Russia has a couple of kids that are part Armenian, so I am going with them. Fear of another Genocide???? With Russian military bases in Armenia who would be foolish enough to do this???
