Women are equal to men in Islam but different. your knowledge is very little about islam. you may be talking about some people who are following tradition more then Islamic teachings

Women are given high status in Islam.

So what you are saying is that the teachings in the Quran has had little or zero effect to change the heart and minds of the adherents when it comes to women rights in Islamic states?

Is this not heresy or blasphemous?

You don't need to FORCE every woman ... You just need to force enough, with threats of violence, that the rest "choose" to wear the symbols of obedience "freely" ...

why after so long its a problem?? have muslims just not gone swimming all these years to public places or did they go and not wear cloths into the swimming pool?
